I thought Tarkin’s objective was to use fear to get the systems in line, therefore maintaining peace.

Yeah, that’s true. Still kind of a weird way to define “peace”, but in their twisted mind that mentality does make a lot of sense. Although it’s more of a “control” thing as apposed to “peace” in the general sense of the word.
Not exactly a “terrorist attack”, but more of a “terror”-attack or intimidation-attack.

This makes me wonder what conspiracy theory the Empire told its citizens about who really blew up Alderaan.

“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”

Author

Are you kidding? The destruction of Alderaan is a false flag. The whole explosion was faked.

I already said the explosion was a false flag. The Empire doesn’t want us to know they have planet-melting technology.

I didn’t make this, I just Googled “Alderaan inside job”.
(I think it’s a reference to 911 conspiracy theories.)

gotcha.

Specifically the phrase “Jet fuel can’t melt steel beams”. If that doesn’t ring a bell perhaps you’ve heard the phrase “Jet fuel can’t melt dank memes”

Electro from Spider-Man came before the Emperor from Return of the Jedi, so I’m not sure what you’re gettin’ at, Math.

I think he’s referring to the movie giving him a black hood (similar to Palpatine) as opposed to his yellow and green suit from the comics.

They both have black clothes with black hoods, they both shoot electricity, they are both blueish (sometimes), they both apppeared in the 2nd movie in their franchise, they both have unlimited power, they were both human but deformed by electricity.

This reminds me of that time that ATMachine tried to convince us that Gillian Anderson was in Star Wars.

No, not Star Wars. I said The Star Wars, with a The. There’s a difference.
