And obviously I have to find somewhere for Remote Control by Beastie Boys…and maybe the theme song from the MTV show Remote Control.

Maybe the ridiculous original trilogy could be about Sid Sidious trying to get his hands on the remote control. So many characters talk about control in the films.
You could replace Luke’s lightsaber in ROTJ for a generic remote control to give the gag a bit of closure.

moving this thought over here, because even though Frink makes a good point, i also think it is worth considering that this could be a cool little easter egg for this film. find a busy scene and add lucas with hair buns somewhere in the background. maybe the medal ceremony? thats they type of scene that a directory would normally try to cameo in, right?

When Tarkin says “Fear will keep the local systems in line” the line could be altered so he suggests a series of common phobias (using clips from other movies). Fear of spiders, fear of a gigantic hound, fear of the undead, fear of Adolf Hitler (I’m just guessing his films mention these things).
The Dianoga could have the face of Snoke. Han could be freaked out by this and say “Snokes, why did it have to be Snokes?”.
