I feel like in 2017 it should be just about mandatory to make your entire back catalogue available through through built-in emulators.

I think even the silly games would sell well. I bet a lot of people would be willing to pay a couple bucks for even titles like Friday the 13th on NES.

I’m playing the GBA remake of Final Fantasy VI, one of my favorite things ever. I never get tired of it, and the changes for the GBA version actually improve it.

I wouldn’t mind Link being an actual character this time around. I know for the longest we were supposed to project ourselves onto Link but having him at least talking what freshen things up a bit.

Be careful what you wish for…

Speaking of Zelda, the next game has been shown at E3 and it looks amazing.

Is that a voice actor I hear?! FINALLY!!!

Don’t get too excited. I watched many hours of gameplay today and only heard that voice a couple of times, in an objective guidance capacity saying maybe ten words total. The other NPCs they showed (very few, to be fair) were the standard text balloon only fare.

I missed a majority of E3, were there any embarrassing moments worth mentioning? At this point I barely watch E3 for the games anyway.

Sadly, it was very smooth.

Ubisoft was weird as usual, but nothing incredible.

I hope there are no voice actors. When there’s as much dialogue as in Zelda games, it’s uncomfortable to cut off talking once you’re done reading. I also hope there are no dialogue trees, which I can’t stand.

I’m pretty sure it’ll be the traditional Zelda dialogue, which is how I feel it should be.

Just the exception of the guiding voice, which isn’t too far off of Navi (you’ll remember she says “Hey” “Listen” “Watch Out” and a few other lines, so “voice acting” in this capacity isn’t totally new to the game).

By the way, if anyone cares, I returned to Zelda II after so much abuse as if I had Stockholm’s Syndrome and finally made it through the first level after many continues.

Good point. I bet that’ll be what we get.

Quick Zelda II update. I just smashed this filthy trash of a game into total oblivion and it doesn’t work anymore.

You might want to get that looked at. And I don’t mean the game.

Christ… Didn’t you say you first played it a couple years after it was released? And doesn’t that mean your age is in the double digits, the first digit being at least a 2? And you still get so upset at inanimate objects that you resort to smashing them?
If you’re talking an original gold cartridge, I’d have gladly paid you your age in cash for it.

Very interesting artstyle for the new Zelda. Cartoony but realistic at the same time. Very interesting.

It’s a maddening game and I hate it. Smashing it against the wall was the only entertaining thing I’ve ever done involving Zelda II.

Srsly it’s not that hard. I died only like twice in Death Mountain and after that the only level I got very frustrated in was the finale.

It doesn’t take much to make me extremely angry. It wasn’t a gold Zelda II either.

I’d rather suck at Zelda II than be HansiG.
