Interstellar (2014)
This movie had no business being almost three hours long. Did the editor take a long nap and the movie was released without his or her knowledge? Beyond that, it reminded me a little of Sunshine in that both were very interesting movies that utterly failed in the last act. There was some really good stuff in it, which only made it all the more disappointing.
7/10
Interesting review. I was alright with the ending because of its ambition and the fact that it presented the idea of time not being an arrow but being just all at once. Neil De’Grasse Tyson has some cool points about the science of the ending. So after all that, I feel I can appreciate it a bit more.
I thought the score was beatiful, the acting terrific and the chemistry very strong between Murph and her father. The scene of Brand wanting to go to a planet because of love did not work for me. But visually, Interstellar is a masterpiece.
IMHO Interstellar works on enough levels that it’s immense ambition can be felt viscerally and despite a few problems I feel perfectly fine giving it a strong 9/10.
ITS OBJECTIVELY A PERFECT MOVIE AND ALSO OBAMA WASNT BORN IN THE US
Just when I thought you might be mature and actually discuss the damn movie. Way to take the high road Frink.
INTERNET DISCUSSIONS ABOUT MOVIES ARE SERIOUS BUSINESS!!!
No. I actually just wanted to have a casual discussion about a movie.
YEAH BUT YOU’RE WRONG ABOUT THAT
