You sir, are a demented GENIUS!!!

I don’t know if anyone under the age of 30 will get the joke, but who cares? 😉

Is the whole duel going to be in a-ha vision?

Alas, I am under thirty and I get it.

He could scare Palpatine long enough for Yoda to escape down the conduit.

Look over here!

You’re probably going to have to give up on that idea. It isn’t doing much for me and would take a lot of work.

I don’t see why that was an alas situation.

Did I just here the real-life voice of TV’s Frink?

To be quite honest, it sounds pretty much like I expected it to.

I always imagined he’d sound like Jack Skellington.

Not enough people read the EU.

His voice didn’t really sound altered in the podcast he did a while back.

Did it sound altered somewhere else? I don’t get what that’s in reference to.

Author

I might…I feel like that may have already been suggested, actually.

Frink only does bleeped expletives. 😉

Where were you in '77?

On FE I was directed to this virtualdub plug-in:

http://www.compression.ru/video/cartoonizer/index_en.html

Here was the result on my scene:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otTvtA0matU

I tried two other settings as well:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvE5sFW4tQs

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK9_YvHpeT0

The first probably works the best but I’m not sure it works all the way. There are parts where the detail is almost completely lost. It looks a little better on my pc than on youtube due to compression, but I’m still not sure.

I think #2 looks the best. Maybe you can “whiten” up the shot after you’ve rendered it?

Tried that, it didn’t help much but I can play with it a bit more.

You could also try increasing the contrast of the base clips and perhaps blur the backgrounds, so that the characters are accentuated and the background is muted.

Hmm, interesting idea. Will play around with that as well.

I rather like 1, for the simple fact that the effect you’re going for is immediately obvious, where as the other attempts could be mistaken for a very odd video glitch (at least that was something I felt about it in the back of my mind the first time I watched “Ep3 Revenge of the RidiculousnessUpdated3 32”, until the music really kicked in and drove home the point). 1 is basically the over the top ridiculous take on it, which I think is the point of the endeavor in general. Oh, and color the lightsabers, whichever method you go with, that seemed to work really well in “Updated3 32”.

Unfortunately that was just a byproduct of the particular plugin I used in that test. I don’t have the ability/desire to do it if it isn’t a simple plugin or filter.
