Sounds interesting, if true. Might be having Luke be a little too violent, however.
Thanks for sharing!

Not much of a surprise. Seeing as how Daisy, Mark and Adam were all seen in Ireland I assumed the KoR would be coming too. Even with his training completed he needs their help for fighting the likes of Luke.
double post…again
Just heard about that scene from Collider Jedi Council and I think it sounds absolutely wonderful. Luke being an absolute badass is on my wishlist for episode 8.
So apparently the title got leaked but I don’t think this is real at all. If it is, the title IMO kinda sucks. It doesn’t roll off of the tongue and it spoils the movie! Well I hope it’s fake.

The Empire Strikes Back and Return of The Jedi also kind of spoil the movies do they not?
The title is a bit basic but I feel it’s better than The Force Awakens.
‘Empire Strikes Back’ is vague enough, all you know is that the empire is gonna retaliate after being humiliated by the rebels. Which for a sequel to Star Wars isn’t much of a secret
‘Return of the Jedi’ is also not very specific, for all we know it’s just referring to Luke being one of the first active and heroic jedi in X amount of years. After all, the real returning of jedi takes place inbetween movies. But if episode 6 was called something so blatant as ‘Fall of the empire’ pretty much spelling out the entire third act, I’d be pretty let down.
If that’s a fake it’s a pretty fantastic one, but it’s a bummer that there was nothing better they could have come up with.
.
If you didn’t realize that was a prompt to see how easy it is to come up with something better. I’m not gonna do it, what you think I’m some kind of hard worker here?
Seeking only the most natural looking colors for Star Wars '77
With how predictable Star Wars is (most of the time) even vague titles tell a great deal about what happens in the film.
Pablo Hidalgo addressed the supposed title leak the other day. He didn’t confirm or deny, but he did point out that the only film of the Internet era that even had a title at this stage in production was ROTS. If this is anything real, I’m betting it’s only a working title.
Indeed. TFA was also originally titled The Ancient Fear, so this title as well might not stick.
“That Darth Vader, man. Sure does love eating Jedi.”
The giveaway, to me, is that they’re clearly reusing the title design for TFA. I just can’t see the marketing team at Lucasfilm being that unoriginal. Giving each movie of the ST its own distinctive promotional title design, just like with the OT films, is almost expected at this point. Even the prequels had different Roman numerals to go with their otherwise repetitive poster titles. There was also the alternate ESB-style logo for AotC, and RotS’ title was so consciously riffing on the original title of ROTJ they had merch with that design ready to go from day one.
Return of the Jedi has a double meaning. Until you see it, you’ll just assume it’s referring to Luke. You might even speculate it’s Obi-Wan. (I know an early draft had him returning from the dead physically.) But you won’t know it’s really about Vader until you’ve seen the movie. So it’s actually kind of a brilliant title.
Empire Strikes Back just tells you the Empire will strike back after the Death Star got blown up. Not exactly a big surprise. It’s not like the title was “Darth Vader Is Luke’s Father.”
I think “Fall of the Resistance” is more of a spoilerific title than any other so far by a longshot. I mean “Attack of the Clones” doesn’t spoil anything cause we already knew there would be Clone Wars, it doesn’t go any farther than that. And “Revenge of the Sith” is no surprise either since we knew what had to happen to set up the originals. TPM, ANH, and TFA are all totally vague titles. This would indeed be unprecedented if it is accurate.
Also, I’m kind of concerned that if it’s true, that means that this may indeed be another “rhyme” to ESB this time by being the “dark” episode where the bad guys win. I was fine with the parallels to the original in TFA, but I want to see something different now. I won’t be happy if it’s just a rewrite of ESB.
If people call EpVIII a ESB rewrite because it’s the dark chapter I’m going to flip shit. Get ready, because it will be the dark middle chapter. That’s how it works. It’s not just ESB.
The “leaked” title is almost 100% BS. Don’t get worked up about it.

Jedi is also singular and plural.
I’ve seen a lot of “Of course it’s going to be darker; they’re remaking the OT so what do you expect?” posts on various websites but seeing as how JJ pretty much said shortly after TFA’s release that Episodes VIII and IX will be going in new directions I wouldn’t fret about that. Personally I think the new complaint is going to be that “It doesn’t feel like Star Wars”. Surprisingly I’ve even heard the same complaint about TFA but if Episode VIII is far more original, that and the darker tone will lead people to say shit like that. To be honest I’d rather see that than to see “Rehash” or “Mary Sue” when I click on anything TFA/ST related.
I absolutely agree Dominic. Do you people wanna see everyone win at the end? God damn people think that just because it’s darker means it’s a rewrite of ESB. Really makes me lose my shit when people say these things. Your either gonna stay happy, be even lighter or go darker. Take your pick

I can’t wait to see Star Wars VIII. I have this site (http://starwars8countdown.com/) as my starting page on my browser. Makes me sick to see how long we still have to wait.
