If it’s only done to pass the time (as is the reason why I even chimed in) then I don’t think that counts as caring.

Our justice system is a farce; anyone who thinks “justice is blind” is naive. It is now a commodity that can be bought, and if you are rich enough, you can literally fuck over any person you want and face zero consequences. Remember, when you decide to support people like Woody Allen, you are twisting a knife into victims like Dylan Farrow over and over again. It not just one man who has damaged her, but the millions who have seen his movies since that are the accomplices to this horrendous crime. And he is not the only one: we have R. Kelly, Bill Cosby, Penn State, and Hollywood itself. This is a sickening world we live in, and I hate the fact that I am controlled by the richest asshole in the room if me or any of my family members end up on their bad side.

You are condoning, with you dollars, that what he did to his daughter does not bother you, that victims deserve to be marginalized, if it gets in the way of our consumption of entertainment. Yes I made my point ten times over, but no one in power gets it. The essence of the Woody Allen scandal is the exploitation of the powerless by the wealthy elite. Allen was a good director, but that has been nullified by his indefensible and despicable behavior years ago. In light of the abuse, we can go back and see all the child molestation jokes in his older movies, we can see the predatory behavior of the man both on and offscreen, we see the same toxic cliches he spews out year after year, and the scandal always finds a way to be swept under the rug, yet again. Are people going to come to their senses a few years down the line when the next article written by Ronan or Dylan Farrow slams Allen for the child abuser he always was and continues to be?

There is no reason for me to shut when the one percent of this country has gutted the paradigm “innocent until proven guilty.” I’m sure Dylan Farrow is happy that the justice system failed her when she was brutally violated by an amoral monster who could afford lawyers to get him out of jail. We have been under the mercy of the rich and powerful for too fucking long and I’m tired of it. Sorry to disappoint you, but I’m staying right here.

Their new show should be just as good (if not better) than Top Gear was. They even have a massive budget from Amazon. The only thing that’s really a negative is that they no longer have The Stig.
