Came across the Rushmore soundtrack on vinyl at the record store today and purchased the shit out of it as fast as I could. So in answer to the thread’s question, the entirety of the Rushmore soundtrack.

No Time This Time - The Police

I think I’ve listened to nothing but the Regatta de Blanc album for weeks.

My favorite album by the Police was always Ghost in the Machine.

The Sun Is My Destroyer by Exodus.

Its toxic waltz or nothing.

That and Like Father, Like Son are the only good songs on Fabulous Disaster. Bonded By Blood is better by miles.

I hate exodus in general actually but I like the song Toxic Waltz.

Welcome to Hell-Morbid Angel. (I love Altars of Madness but I like this song much better than the ‘Evil Spells’ it would become. Probably cuz I’m not crazy on blast beats)

You know, the reading of the law in the latter chapters is tedious, but the plagues on Egypt and the subsequent escape of the Israelites is pretty interesting. I’d say it’s worth it for that alone. I agree that it’s not as good as Genesis though.

The Israelites were such whiny bitches in that though. Not talking about the enslavement part as I can’t imagine how horrible that would be and I’m not promoting any kind of anti Semitic ideology nor do I support anything like that. But as a kid in bible school it always annoyed me how they were being rescued from that and led to something great but after Moses risked everything to save them from slavery they all whined nothing he did was good enough.

Not only the Israelites that were being delivered, but Moses himself struck the rock twice instead of speaking to it. They brought a whole lot of bad juju upon themselves after being brought out of Egypt.

SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.

I think by that point after putting up with the Israelites shit Moses had earned the right to hit a damn rock if he felt like it.

I’d say that rock was damned since he hit it twice when told to speak to it.

For some reason I’m not the biggest fan of Morbid Angels demos though I like the demo version of Chapel of Ghouls even though it doesn’t even remotely touch the original. Especially given the vocals that goes along with the riff at 1:52.

EDIT:

Pestilence - Dehydrated

Genius of Love - Tom Tom Club
I can’t think of a sweeter song with a drug taking reference.
I’ve never taken nor wanted to take cocaine, it just seemed like powdered idiocy to me, I like my stupidity to be organically sourced 😄

I’d like it better if it had the studio production but technically it isn’t a demo. instead of just blasting it does something catchy and energetic yet still sinister sounding.

In General I prefer morbid angels studio work I just prefer the song “Welcome to Hell” over “Evil Spells” as a song. (It was clearly based on it)

ELO binge. Been appreciative of their music for awhile now but never really dug deep. Now I can’t stop. Amazing stuff.

I don’t know I think the riffs are played a bit sloppily, it doesn’t have the riff at 3:06 (which is my favorite riff in the song excluding the outro riff) and of course has the sub par production but we like what we like 😄

I think the only demo of a song I have ever liked is Creeping Death and Satan’s Fall from Mercyful Fate

Other than the reasons I listed above it’s probably the lack of David Vincent on vocals.
