HE SPEAKS FOR ME TOO
I still wish someone would make a movie with lots of screaming where everyone screamed nothing but the Wilhelm Scream.
This is a fan edit waiting to happen…
What would be best film scene to do this too be? The final Wild Bunch scene? The 88 Kill Bill scene?

Whom does he speak three for?
I think I’ve said this before but I’d like the anthology films to start with the “A long time ago…” card and then proceed to do whatever they want.
I am kinda bummed that the new crawl of Hope, Jedi, Menace, Clones and Sith use one font, but Empire and Force Awakens use different font for the movie title in crawl. Its triggering muh OCDee
It threw me for a loop the first time I saw TFA, and I pessimisticly assumed it was a mistake. I’ve gotten used to seeing it that way, so can appreciate it as a deliberate choice. I like that each crawl, especially ESB, is slightly different. That’s why my PT edits’ crawls are each slightly different colors, angles, and levels of zoom.

Why everybody gotta be related?
Son, I think we need to sit down and have a serious talk about the birds and the bees 😉
VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

Technically, everybody is related.

I’ll make a fan edit of Empire for you. You’re on your own for TFA though.

Isn’t it Jedi, Menace, Clones and Sith that use a “different” font, seeing that Empire was the first to include it?
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

Still a better font than Calibri.

Minority is different from majority, even if the minority came first.
Since it doesn’t matter what came first, they could use the TFA font for 8 and 9, so it would be 5 vs. 4 and TFA’s font would then be the “right” one.
Ceci n’est pas une signature.
I’m still not sure why people noticed the title being “wrong” while not realizing that it’s the same as Empire. If you’re inspecting the crawls that closely, wouldn’t you have at least thought about the idea that one other film might also have used that font?
Personally, I prefer the Empire font. I don’t think I’d want Jedi to have it though; all the crawls being slightly different like that gives each film more character.

I don’t need them to be the same, but I think consistency is a good goal to have–and in choosing a font for TFA, Abrams definitely made the best choice for consistency. Assuming the prequels can all DIAF, and that Star Wars doesn’t have an episode title in the crawl to begin with, we’re really only talking about two precendent-setting films: one with Univers and one with News Gothic. There is no minority or majority, it’s a 50/50 split. So you’re either flipping a coin, or you’re weighing the merits of Empire versus Jedi. Given that, I’d have picked the Empire font too. And, having gone with that, it’s now the font used in two of the four Star Wars films, a clear plurality.
They should’ve just used Comic Sans.

No, actually this “tradition” was broken almost immediately, with Empire closing on the camera pulling back from the Rebel fleet. And while we’re at it, that movie is also the only one to have any significant dialogue in its final scene (Phantom Menace had the Gungan king shout “Peace!” but that’s it). So really, TFA’s ending is still a lot more “standard Star Wars” than Empire’s ending was.
