OMG. Lemmy, John Bradbury, Bowie - who’s next, Tony Iommi? 😦
OMG. Lemmy, John Bradbury, Bowie - who’s next, Tony Iommi? 😦
I didn’t even know he had been battling cancer. 69 is too soon to go. Same age my Dad was when he died. : (
One of the best presents I ever got from my Mom was a Bowie CD boxset.
Where were you in '77?
I can’t imagine it was a very happy celebration.
It’s a good album and a classy exit. Like Angus Scrimm who also 'died" Dave always comes back.
A little thing like death wouldn’t stop that.
I’m going to put the Laughing Gnome on now 😃
I’m glad he was around to see the ultimate cover version of Space Oddity.

Rip David Bowie absolute legend. Gutted
I’m still reeling from Lemmy’s passing, now Bowie is gone too. The past 3 years have claimed several of my heroes.
I wonder if this will bring Zig back to say a few words.
I don’t particularly like his music, but he was the primary reason for Stevie Ray Vaughan getting discovered, so I respect him. RIP
I was shocked to find out. I had no idea he was ill; I’m glad he was able to finish his final album.
The Person in Question
Going to see a 30th anniversary screening of Labyrinth next week.

SRV on Let’s Dance >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Fripp on ‘Heroes’
Such an underrated album.
Another significant part of my youth. Some great classics.
Ground control to Major Tom, check ignition and may God’s love be with you.
Angus Scrimm, beloved horror movie icon, 89.
Where were you in '77?
*sigh*
I am glad I saw him in person at Monsterpalooza in 2014. And there’s his final role in Phantasm V to look forward to. The trailer gave almost as many goosebumps as the TFA one did.

Alan Rickman - DEAD - aged 69
Actor Alan Rickman, known for films including Harry Potter, Die Hard, Truly Madly Deeply and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, has died at the age of 69.
The star was suffering from cancer, his family said.
He became one of Britain’s best-loved acting stars thanks to roles including Professor Snape in the Harry Potter films and Hans Gruber in Die Hard.
He also won a Bafta for playing the Sheriff of Nottingham in 1991’s Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
A family statement said: “The actor and director Alan Rickman has died from cancer at the age of 69. He was surrounded by family and friends.”
“First feel fear, then get angry. Then go with your life into the fight.” - Bill Mollison
1994 was a crappy year for me. My father had just died of cancer. My nephew died after a few days of life. I had a bit of a mental breakdown and dropped out of university and fell out with close friends.
Around that time I discovered a couple of movies made a few years before starring Alan Rickman.
One was Truly, Madly Deeply (1991) which really helped me through the grieving process and the other was Closet Land (1991) which was a truly horrific depiction of torture with hardly any gore at all which really informed my politics and helped me get my mojo back. Thanks for that Mr Rickman. I wonder how much closer to solutions to these horrid diseases if we stopped blowing each other up.
By Grabthar’s Hammer, he will be avenged.
Well this news makes me really sad and it came out of nowhere.
It reminds me of how shocked i was when Elizabeth Sladen died.
So sad😦
I lost one of my Grandfather’s to cancer when I was only five and I had only met him twice. Man I hate cancer.
My ratings for the Star Wars movies. EP1 4.5/10. Ep2 4.0/10. EP3 2.0/10. EP4 9.5/10. EP5 10/10 EP6 8.5/10 EP7 8.3/10.

: ( he was a good actor. A very good actor. He will be missed R.I.P.

Another death to cancer.
Yeah, 2016’s certainly going to be great year. *rolls eyes*
A bunch of somebody’s, and even more nobody’s, die every year.
That doesn’t make the situation any more tolerable.
Mortality is a really sucky thing. Lots of it about too.

Well, look who’s back. Or have you been around for several days already and I hadn’t noticed?
