Another LEGO set leak of a new B-Wing-esque TFA ship. This one appears to have Leia and Ackbar included.

As for my own opinion, this new ship leaves me cold. Like many other TFA designs. Maybe it'll look cooler on screen instead of LEGO, but a fat B-Wing doesn't gather my interest.

Yeah that looks weird and yet - even in lego form - oddly JJ-esque.

Maybe it's a bomber? Why else would it be so fat?

Here's a Lego B Wing for comparison.

Eeeh, I kind of like it. Reminds me of something that would've showed up in a video game before the prequels.

I think he means the videogames in general, where Lucasarts would create whole new vehicles (often from the EU) that were a spin on existing craft.

Such as the AT-PT

TIE Defender

*sigh* and a TIE Tank

I did mean in general, but the TIE Phantom in RAII is another good example.

Of those three, the AT-PT's the only one which doesn't look completely laughable.

Why would anyone even need a tank in the SW universe?
What could it possible offer in a universe of hover vehicles?

Also the TIE Defender doesn't look that bad, and it kicked ass in Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds (a very underrated game I might add.)
Also aren't the TIE wings supposed to be solar panels, or something similar? If so I guess it actually kind of makes sense to pack as many on them as possible.

It looks like a bipedal TV :D

But anyway, that Lego starship looks defintely like the one used in Rebel Assault II.

Just a few more to go, and then The Bunny™ will bless us with its presence.

People seem to be zeroing in on Monday for the new trailer, specifically during Monday Night Football. This doesn't sound right to me, because I'd think they'd want to generate some hype a little ahead of tickets going on sale rather than late on the day of. Friday sounds like a much better day to me, but those who are ostensibly in the know are pretty adamant about Monday. Either way, I'm pretty happy that it's down to a matter of days.

EDIT: Now I'm seeing tweets that say it looks like there's going to be some kind of announcement on starwars.com tomorrow around 4:00 p.m. EST. Probably confirmation of the day the trailer's going to hit, but there's also speculation about a reveal of the theatrical poster.

Also the Star Wars Facebook page has been posting stills for the last 3ish days. All images we've seen before either in articles or the teasers. But they're definitely building to SOMETHING.

By the way, I finally got around to Lost Stars. I'm not sure what my expectations even were going in, but I was really impressed. Easily the best of the Journey to TFA stuff. I'm really looking forward to Claudia Grey's next SW book. As far as direct connections to TFA go, we see some of the Battle of Jakku, including the crash of the Star Destroyer Inflictor (I believe this has been mentioned here already). No talk of the Super Star Destroyer, though, which I'm still guessing is the Ravager from Aftermath. I was hoping for some clue about the mysterious Fleet Admiral, but whatever, it looks like the Aftermath sequel is coming out in a few months anyway. The big takeaway from Lost Stars is that the Empire remains far more unified after Jakku than the New Republic realizes. The novel ends with the fleet massing in some obscure nebula with one of the supporting characters poised to become an antagonist. The whole conceit of the book is that it follows sort of mid-level players without showing what the top brass is up to, so I have no idea if this regrouped Imperial fleet is set up to evolve into the First Order, but hopefully that gets addressed in the other Aftermath books.

Somebody claiming to work for ESPN says that they've seen the trailer.

Here's the description for anyone interested.

Anonymous 10/14/15(Wed)18:42:53 No.61770388

Perfect timing, as I have actually seen Monday night's trailer. I work at ESPN. Expect leaks very soon as it's going around. I leaked the original trailer description to Making Star Wars, so expect to see this same description on his site within a few hours. I've only seen it once. Began with a voice over talking about Vader and Palpatine. Don't remember the exact dialogue but pretty sure it's Kylo talking about finishing what they started. Talks about unison, order, ending the "chaotic void" they left. Pretty straightforward. Starfield for the entire voice over, about ten seconds? Then, the basic "This December" "from the writer of ESB" (Lawrence Kasdan) title cards Finn and Poe in a small room, arguing over who is going to fly a ship. Finn is helmet-less, unlocking Poe's handcuffs. Frantic tone, but cut with scenes of Kylo and the stromtroopers at night, using flamethrowers. Leia and a group of Rebels around a hologram of a planet. Basic military jargon, she mentions "she has experience with this sort of thing." Admiral Ackbar is present. The blue droid from the toy line is in the background. Shot of C-3PO and R2-D2.

Finn and Rey getting shot at by stormtroopers, run up the ramp of the Millennium Falcon. A few shots of Captain Phasma, General Hux, Kylo Ren, and other no name Imperials looking at holograms. Captain Phasma talks, saying she'll "find and kill him." Someone responds, which narrates the next shot. I think he says something about making a big deal out of one man, or whatever. Clearly, they are talking about Finn going AWOL. Next is supposed to be some sort of surprise reveal, as the camera slowly pans back as the Millennium Falcon powers up. Single shot, from them running up the ramp to the Falcon taking off. Maybe thirty seconds total. Really cool. Lots of explosions and pot shots at the Falcon. More shots of the Falcon in the desert, Finn on the guns, Rey in the chair. "Funny" shot of BB-8 rolling up and down the hallways as the Falcon flies around. Extended shots of the Super Star Destroyer chase from the second teaser. Rey, Finn, BB-8 and Han in a hangar type area. Comedic type dialogue, back and forth between all the characters. Broken up by Chewie's roar, and some blaster fire. Everyone immediately splits off and takes cover. Supposed to be comical. Argument continues as they fire on the guys shooting at them. Don't remember anything that was said I think this is when there was another title card, or it might have been before they met Han but it said "comes the sequel to the original Star Wars trilogy"

Really nice shots of TIE fighters above a jungle, firing into the woods. Probably the same scene as the X-Wings above the lake in the teasers. It looks like the same weather. Captain Phasma and Kylo ren walking out of a first Order shuttle. Ren blocks a laser from hitting Phasma. Quick shots of Phasma pushing past Stormtroopers taking cover behind trees. Her gun is automatic, she fires it indiscriminately into a group. Does not take cover as they fire back. Shots of Rey and BB-8, similar to the instagram preview watching the battle. Run in the woods. Snow scenes, a new snow speeder, walker, TIEs, patrolling a large building in the snow. Starkiller Base? General Hux voiceover about ending the wait. Strormtroopers running down a hallway and exiting out to a snowfield. Shot of the black X-Wing flying through space. TIEs and X-Wings dog fight. This is that frantic part of the trailer when things are just thrown at the screen. Definitely remember seeing Leia again, the droids, more of Phasma, more of Ren in the woods, flametroopers, etc. Lots of shots in this part. Trailer ends with Ren and Finn in the woods, red lightsaber on. Ren does a fancy move swinging the saber back and forth, reminding me immediately of the scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark with the swordsman, but in a good way if you catch my meaning. Shot of Finn responding by simply turning his lightsaber on. Title cards, new logos, etc. The last shot is an X-Wing flying through an exploding TIE. No Luke anywhere.

Theatrical poster:

I'm simultaneously dismayed by how much Starkiller Base seems to just be the Death Star III and more willing to buy the idea of a planetary weapon now that I see it. I'm guessing the alien next to R2-D2 is Maz Kanata and it looks like she's pretty different from the concept art we've seen. The absence of Luke seems to confirm that he's not going to have much screen time. The most interesting bit, though, is that Michael Arndt gets a writing credit. Also, the talk of a new logo being unveiled seems to have been false.

EDIT: here's the high res version for a better look at Maz

Editing my post since I got beat to the punch.

Yeah. That new Maz character is likely the one next to R2.

Another Death Star. JJ and Kasdan have decided to just copy everything from the original trilogy it seems. Nothing to really get excited about, is there?

No Luke either.
