Who was more essential in Luke's Jedi training?

Author
Time

In the Original trilogy Young Luke is instructed by two of the most Famous Jedi in the Order's history. Yet if you had to choose between Ben Kenobi and Yoda, who taught Luke the most pivotal lessons and who was more essential to him becoming the Jedi he would be? Was it his first kinship with Kenobi and his relationship with his father, or was it his experiences with Yoda, his training on Dagobah, and his more expanded teachings in the force? How would Luke have turned out if he was training by one instead of the other

Yoda was more advanced training, Ben was the basic instruction. They each had an important role to play. If Ben had lived, I'm sure he would have taken Luke to see and train with Yoda at some point.

I still think people are missing the fact that R2-D2 was present during most of (if not all of) Luke's training by Ben and Yoda. Therefor that little droid contains the knowledge to be the greatest Jedi training master of all.

What if he were trained by TV's Frink?

Then he would have embraced the ridiculous side of the Force.

Obi-Wan saw Luke's potential and set his journey in motion, but still blamed himself for Anakin's turn to the darkside, had he lived he probably still would have taken Luke to be trained by Yoda in the deeper ways of the force.

Yoda by a longshot. Ben just trained him for five minutes on the Falcon, while Yoda trained him for almost half a movie.

And of course, R2 was levitating himself in the swamp. He's just a quick learner.
