No, I'm confused as to whether you think that the original line was delivered too angrily or not. You seem to imply that the original line was delivered angrily, which I guess it was, but no more angrily than any other Vader line in the series (like "I find your lack of faith disturbing")
All other lines were delivered without any anger... with a sole exception "Tear this ship apart".
And this the best example of Vader... cool, intelligent, witty, sarcastic.
Of course this is speaking in general. As for why anger ESPECIALLY does not fit in that particular section of the film, please refer to this post and this post.

This sounds more like what Mace Windu would say as he's walking out of a movie he didn't like ;)

Cool? Witty? Sarcastic? Those are some of the last words I'd use to describe Vader as a whole. He always sounded very pissed off. He rarely shouted but always seemed intense and serious. Someone who chokes officers, usually to death, on a regular basis can hardly be described as "cool"
The Person in Question
I think the closest thing I did to walking out of a movie was Eragon. It was terrible.
As for the prequels, these days I can't watch them all the way through, even when I try.
As for "Bring my shuttle", less is more.

That's what makes the character of Vader so good; his mask hides much of his emotion, leaving that to the imagination. I imagined Vader being in an almost constant state of anger in ESB. For example, his delivery of "You have failed me for the last time" contains a slight pause between the last two words, like he's struggling to keep a steady voice through mounting rage. Likewise, not choking every officer on the bridge in the final scene may have been because he was too furious even to exact punishment, he simply retired to his meditation pod to scream his lungs out ;)
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

That's exactly how I interpreted it
The Person in Question
Regarding Vader's "Bring my shuttle", while I found it full of frustration, I never saw any outright anger in it. IMO, Vader came off as being annoyed more than anything else.
The line may not be as cool and calm as most of Vader's other lines in the film, but it certainly isn't the rageaholic meltdown imperialscum's making it out to be.

Since scenes before and after indicate that his primary emotion was a huge disappointment after being rejected by his son, even a slightest level of anger does not fit in there.

Wrong. Observe his body motion in the scenes on the bridge. It is extremely slow and calm. A person boiling with anger would have had a complete opposite body motion. The scene clearly indicates a big disappointment following his son's rejection. Anger has no place here and that is why delivery of "bring my shuttle" in angry fashion ruined the entire sequence for me.

"Apology accepted, Captain Needa" doesn't strike you as cool, witty or verging on sarcasm?!
As for the "Bring my shuttle" delivery in the original, clearly Vader is disappointed, pissed off. Conflicted even (Luke picks up on this in Jedi afterall). Things didn't goto plan for him. He failed himself, and the Emperor by not capturing his son. His son showed the ability to rather kill himself than joining the dark side. My reading is that all this stuff is going through his mind in that one line. He's pre-occupied & lost in thoughts on the Star Destroyer bridge too. Knowing your son is out there, then actually meeting (and fighting him face to face and physcally damaging him badly) him is another. I think it's all played brilliantly.
Does the script say anything about the delivery of those lines?

I sure wish you'd stop with your usual inane comments which a few might find occasionally amusing from time to time, but many are getting increasingly sick & tired of... Do you ever have anything of use to submit here?

If I may say so, you might want to review the use of adjectives. This discussion is not "tired" as it is enthusiastically continue to move forward. It could be however "tiring" to you.

100%. The discussion has nothing to do with the thread topic. Not to mention...
