This may or not be the cure for that ;)
Ah, The Cure, the original Rebecca Black.
happy to hear it'll come out online. only SW trailers i saw in theatres were the 1st trailer for TPM at Bugs Life and 3rd AOTC teaser (shoot, can't remember the movie I saw but people in the theatre laughed at the AOTC teaser :( )
still wish it was more than 88 seconds.
for STID, the trailer was 10 minutes long!!! :O
It'll be interesting to see what they have planned for the actual trailer.
Any one else excited for Episode 7 to be released on Itunes i hope its going to be on you tube to cant wait to get to see the first look of the New Trilogy.
Thread merge! Thank you for your cooperation. ;)
Where were you in '77?
I'm wondering if we'll see much at all. Abrams did say it will be a TINY peek of what they're currently work on. With logos and the title, there's probably going to be about a minute of footage. However, many of the rumors say there's going to be quite a bit of footage in 88 seconds. We'll find out soon enough.
Every frame of that 88 seconds is going to be scrutinized more than the Patterson-Gimlin film. ;)

I'm going to post this here in the spoiler thread just in case.
Has anyone considered the possibility that a third party has gained control of the galaxy in the power vacuum left by the weakened Empire and the small rebellion? In the leaked images, the old Rebel bases are being used once again. This would make no sense if the Empire was still battling the rebellion, but if it was an entirely new threat, the Imperial remnant could have made an alliance with the rebellion, making these bases useful again.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
Am I really seeing people complain about a teaser trailer that is "only" 88 seconds long? It's a teaser!

nope. since star trek has 10 minute trailer, that set the new bar. accept nothing less.
now, if the 88 second ends with c3P0 announcing the OOT on blu-ray, then it'll make up for it.
88 seconds? I didn't know Abrams was a nazi

and it's gotta be 1 second of SW Logo and 87 seconds of Threepio announcing the OOT release in minute detail.

I thought that was just the first ten minutes of the movie, and only if you went to an IMAX venue?

Yes, that was my impression as well.
Yup, it was the first nine minutes of the movie and they stuck it in front of all the digital imax screenings of the first Hobbit movie.
Anyway, apparently there will not be multiple versions of the trailer:

So, does the trailer drop at midnight, or later? We could all stay up late, and count it down together. :)
I refuse to install quicktime, so I'm boned unless they put it elsewhere.

Good question. It'd make sense if they allowed the theaters to have their run at showing the teaser before it was put online, giving more incentive to seeing it in theaters, but we'll see... and when we do we'll be ready :)
Would be funny if it got out early by mistake. ;)
Where were you in '77?
And Rick Rolled again! My hat's off to whoever made it look like a real camera phone video...
Where were you in '77?
Holy crap, there are going to be a lot of fake trailers posted before tomorrow!
Where were you in '77?
I really hope the trailer hits at midnight tonight so I can see it at the soonest time possible.
just wondering what sort of losers are wasting time on all these fake teaser trailers. LOL!
Remember, Highlander, you’ve both still got your full measure of life. Use it well, and your future will be glorious.

You wouldn't get this from any other guy
Y'know, as much as I hope I can avoid most of the merchandise reveals/spoilers before J.J.'s movie reaches cinemas next year, I'm sure looking forward to finally getting a glimpse at this initial teaser.
Despite the odd behind-the-scenes photo or two during production, I still find the notion of the original cast being re-united onscreen after all these years, kinda hard to believe. But when this teaser hits, I know it will suddenly become very real for me at last...and all these questions will be answered -
What will the tone of the teaser be like...?
How will the original cast look in it...?
Will it have a very leisurely pacing, or will it have heaps of quick cuts to scrutinise...?
Am I going to get used to the Millennium Falcon's new radar dish...?
Will I get teary-eyed watching all this unfold as some new John Williams music plays out...?
Of course, the excellent Episode I teaser proved that it was no true indicator of how the actual movie will turn out...but I'm gonna remain cautiously optimistic. Either way, it's good to know that the 'Star Wars' franchise is going to be on a lot of people's radar once again, when this footage is released.
Not long now. Anticipation building... :)
