Huge display at the bookstore. The OT wins in the long run. Cream rises to the top.

 Perfectly said, man.
It's so good to see the Star Wars I like displayed and advertised again. I'm still skeptical about the new films and tie-in shows, but even if they don't end up being something I'm into, at least they're bringing a resurgence of OT merch and style to the brand.
and...

I recently took my niece to Toys R Us and there were a ton of old school looking OT figures. Biggs Darklighter, Lando's copilot, etc. etc. The past 10 years all I've seen on shelves are stupid background "blink and you miss 'em" prequel character toys and I don't even think I saw one when I was last there, except for some legos based on the Clone Wars cartoon, which will now be entirely phased out for Rebels toys

The Imperial March sounds really good on that instrument, and I really liked the lightsaber. The rest was just really creepy. I'm voting for the horse.

In a very similar vein, this weekend at the Vans store there was a huge display showing Vader/Death Star/Poster Luke-with-Blaster and a legend that read:

Explore the dark side of the Force. Our brand new Vans x Star Wars collection with new designs inspired by villains from the original trilogy is here for Holiday 2014.

It's like Lucasfilm's Ministry of Truth is feverishly scrubbing the failed narrative "The Original Trilogy Has Always Been Based On The Saga of Darth Vader as Depicted in the Prequels" and replacing it with "Prequels?  Never heard of 'em.  Hayden who?  What the fuck is a Quiggly John?"

Gets me every time.

To jump back a couple topics, Boba Fett always seemed so calm and controlled to me. Not the kind of guy to just randomly lose it and disintegrate two innocent and (probably) unarmed moisture farmers for no reason/pay.

Also, I found this shirt in my Facebook newsfeed for Harmy, considering his avatar:

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

END OF LINE

I will disappointed if someone doesn't actually do that as a costume.

Reminds me of the Darkness theme from Legend.

I wonder if the same string instrument was used for both.

Synthesizers don't have strings.

Well, I did hear some strings in there. Unless, of course, synthesizers can replicate the sounds of string instruments (Not being knowledgable of the full capabilities of synthesizers, I frankly don't know if that's the case.).

I saw something neat at the book store yesterday. It was a book with all three original books of the OT in one book called the "Star Wars Trilogy". Also, they called the first book Star Wars, not a New Hope, and I know that the title of the original Star Wars book was changed to A New Hope. This means they've changed the title back to Star Wars, which I think is really awesome, even if it is just for the original 1976 book.

That pleases me so much.

I've got an older edition of that book published in 1993, and inside it says the First Trade Edition was published in 1987, so this isn't actually a new book; it's just a newer edition of the same old book.

Still though, the name of Star Wars was changed to A New Hope, and in this book, they didn't alter the title. The sticker on the front of the book also said, "Includes Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi".

The fact that they did not feel the need to emphasize A New Hope, or episode numbers for that matter, is a great sign for me.

Was this the Barnes and Nobles exclusive thing? I've seen that sitting next to Hitchhiker's Guide, the Bible, and the Art of War, of all things.
