Narry a mention of the PT in this latest vid from SW's YouTube channel about Luke picture book...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJEWNLQS5IY

...so great that the OT is the focus again. However there is one moment where the guy in charge of the book done f**ked it up, see if you can spot it ;-)

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

We live in a beautiful time. If you close your eyes and think really hard, you can almost forget about the prequels entirely.

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

Between the Scenes: Star Wars

Very funny and decent production values for a spoof. Christ, I thought the bit about Motti's forenames was a joke, nope just looked it up on Wookiepedia, those are really his EU names :-D

Sorry if this was already posted. It seems Lucasfilm has been posting some old docs and trailers on Star Wars Youtube channel.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZGYJFUizSax-yElQaFDp5Q

Including empire of dreams

One day we will have properly restored versions of the Original Unaltered Trilogy (OUT); or 1977, 1980, 1983 Theatrical released versions (Like 4K77,4K80 and 4K83); including Prequels. So that future generations can enjoy these historic films that changed cinema forever.

This may have been already posted, but:

It is a short clip from a 1983 interview with Mark Hamill which essentially predicts Episode VII as happening "around 2011".

Does anyone have that fan-made ROTS trailer that took unused Anakin vs Obi-Wan choreography from the 2004 "Return of Darth Vader" mini-doc and filled in the green/blue screen?  It was pretty cool.

Excellent YouTube film channel called Eyes On Cinema. Rare film interviews and stuff. A few interesting recent Star Wars uploads...

36-Minute 1983 interview w/ Darth Vader actor David Prowse on 'Star Wars' & more [audio]

George Lucas in 6 Vintage Japanese 'Star Wars' Commercials for Panasonic

17-Minute 1977 'Star Wars' interviews w/ producer Gary Kurtz, Mark Hamill & Carrie Fisher

Not surprised to see George pimping early HD gear. And that S-VHS deck looked similar to the AG-1980, which more than a few of us own around here.

I wonder if that was the original Jabba puppet before it's latex skin disintegrated?

Frink has got to find a way to use that shot of Lucas walking hand in hand with Ewoks in a sunny field! ;)

It's still not perfect, but more fitting. I don't think you can call anything digital 'rare,' frankly. But that's semantics. Thanks for posting the channel.
