The second link was very evocative of the times for me.

Dear old Lew... Village People too late (if there was ever a time for a Village People movie) and the Titanic way too soon (cheaper to sink the Atlantic indeed).

His brother also sired that awful arsehead Michael Grade.

There is a really nice scene in that second link where Mark Hamill is talking about Empire Strikes Back and says he "Thinks this is the one that will go down in History"

I have to say that I really liked that clip amongst other stuff in it but that one especially

I also was watching the old teaser with vivaldi music...

without trying to come across as having a stupid radical idea but I really like the colouring of the Blue star wars logo... I would love to see an opening crawl of this nature.

I think it would be interesting to see a change in colour to the title fonts for each film... But yes I know the classic yellow is great just a thought of what it would be like?

Rotj would be in Red I guess as it was teased ub Red as revenge of the Jedi.

It was planned to be in Blue originally I believe but over a Hoth landscape I just would not mind seeing it on a star field.

What would be better perhaps is to see some inspiration from the teaser used at the very end of the end credits perhaps. and to include the logo for the film which is never seen within the footage.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pI_PCal6lQQ

I just find That shot of Vader at the end Really Haunting.. If that could be re-created like a reflection of him looking out of a window that might be pretty scary very end.

Or even an alternative credits for revisited which was suggested earlier in the thread

Anyway I would love it if there was some kind of documentary to go with the revisited release if possible and with as much old footage as possible in really poor quality because it is more charming that way.

Thanks for that Brash,

That is really quite interesting that I did not realize that the Episodes were added at the special edition stage.

I think it is quite a good idea to Have the Logo for each film Rather than repeat Star Wars Logo each time and remove the text of the episodes.. Or logo and simply episode.

I like the star field on the end credits though.

Not asking for anything to be altered but I would like to see someone do this idea.

You could argue that by watching the first few seconds of each film there is nothing but the opening crawl text that differentiates them and would not know which film it is initially. I think presenting a logo each film would be a nice touch.

@muddy yes seen it a couple of times.

I had no idea they made the crawl like this either

It's really great to visit popular sites and see articles about that ROTJ EditDroid Laser Disc. The thing's gone viral, which will probably mean that LFL will learn about it at some point. Of course some might look at this as a bad thing, but ever being the optimist that I am, I hope it just shows them how interested fans are in deleted material - not just deleted scenes, but outtakes in general. Alternate takes rarely get the spotlight. I hope this shows that fans are hungry for them, and maybe, just maybe, someday we might get some more which could greatly help in fan edits like this.

Also there's the possibility, since they're linked, that LFL becomes aware of Revisited. That could potentially be awesome, but who knows.

I don't know if you ever click on the signatures on some of the posts in this forum.  I clicked on one and it took me to a Facebook page for someone who works at ILM (and has for some time).  If you're worried about someone at ILM knowing about fanedits, that ship has long sailed.

I'm sure it's way more than a possibility that they know about it.

Oh I have little doubt they will at least now before Adywan's work on the saga is complete. However, they will also realize how huge the fanbase is, and as a result, be pressured naturally to not take any action to obstruct it or ban it. After all, this isn't just some youtube video that contains copyrighted music, this is a huge independent effort that's brought a lot of fans together, so even attempting to shut it down would be a huge PR disaster, especially considering they'd mostly be pissing off fans of their franchise.

Though, at the same time, I seriously doubt they'll do anything to really help (apart from incidently release some sort of edition in the future that has more material previously unseen)

I think if Lucas and Co. were going to shut Ady down, they would have done it a looong time ago.  I think they are just watching from the shadows, interested in what fans will do for free, while doing the Mr. Burn's thing with the fingers:

George has given his blessing to fan films, so I'm sure a fanedit he can at least stomach without having to do anything.  If the prequels tell us anything, George is lazy.

George also doesn't own Star Wars anymore. It's mouse ears we need to watch for now.

However, I think Fox still owns the distribution rights of all the previous films.

Very true, and in fact very concerning.  George may have been at least a little greedy, but disney makes him look like -insert person generally accepted to be giving and helpful because I'm too lazy to think of one-.

For anyone who'd like to see some original blooper clips from Star Wars:

They all had me laughing, such great fun XD

Maybe Ady would be interested in including this as a bonus feature for the ANH:R HD? ;)

the blooper reels are pretty funny! No wonder everyone on set back in the day thought the first movie was going to suck! David Prowse had he busting a gut he was so funny, between his accent and dialogue I am not sure which was funnier.

On the topic at hand I don't think Disney can do anything with the OT until 20th Century Fox's rights run out. Hopefully Adywan will be done with the OT edits before then.

I think 20th Century Fox only owns the distribution rights to Episode IV.
