Happy to report my new Samsung SE-506BB Burner worked well out of the box. Plug and play drivers through Windows 7, and a drag and drop for the Blu-ray folders and files. At 2x (6x possible), it burned in just over an hour.

Verbatim BD25-R, about $2 ea. All 20 or so audio tracks are recognized on the disc, plus about 6 subtitle tracks I added. Tested the disc in my Sony BDP-S390 and it plays flawlessly and looks great...........All the chapters are there and not a glitch in sight. TSmuxer does a great job prepping the files for BR.

Now for a menu..............which can wait. This disc will hold me for quite some time:)

If at all possible, with the release of the BD version, I want to release the full BD version and then for the people who already have the mkv, I will release a shell version, with all the files that will be added or changed on the BD, so that people can mux in the tracks they already have from the mkv and create an identical BD on their own from the mkv, so that way, if you have the mkv and you're saavy enough, you'll only have to DL like 26 GB, instead of 46.

Thank You harmy!

The video encode is exactly the same right? There will be no differences in the A/V Presentation?

Well, there will be some extra/different audio tracks but the video will be the same.

I think I only watch ANH:R sometimes because I already have it, since some of the changes sort of bother me (like making the Death Star explosion feel less epic than the Alderaan explosion.)

The Alderaan explosion always been more epic than the Death Stars, hasn't it? Is there a version of Star Wars where that isn't the case?

In '77, Alderaans huge fireball with chunks flying out dwarfed the Death Stars little 'Pop!' and glitter show. In all versions of the SE, the same ring has been added to both explosions, so Alderaan still has the better bang. I just watched both go boom in Revisited and I'd say the new Death Star explosion at least equals Alderaans.

I don't mean to go off topic, just found this interesting.

Adywan's Alderaan explosion is the explosion of the Asgard homeworld on Stargate SG-1. This explosion is MUCH more massive than that of either the classic or SE Alderaan explosions, and the sound effect is different and somehow smaller, such that his Alderaan explosion dramatically dwarfs his Death Star blowing up.

Sure, Alderaan is a planet and so should cause a bigger boom, but we're supposed to get this feeling of elation or exhileration from the Rebels blowing up the most powerful weapon in the universe at the last possible moment. Unfortunately, the feeling I get while watching Adywan's edit is "meh, the first explosion was better."

I completely agree with you, I'm just saying I get the "meh, first explosion was better.'  feeling you mentioned no matter what version I'm watchin'.

I'm just saying that this

compared to this

doesn't seem as small as this does

when compared to this

(plus, like I said, the sound effect of the Revisited Death Star explosion sounds smaller.)

EDIT: Okay, I've been comparing the two, and the sound effect is what clinches it for me and really why it bothers me so much. Ady's version has no initial "pow" to it.

Wow. That's a uh, bit of a letdown there. Still on the ol' spleen, but yeah, I think the other thing you mention is worth looking into.

This is the very reason I'm buying an external blu-ray burner when my "I don't have any bills this pay period" check comes in a few weeks. There's a few other things I've got on my hard drive I'd like to keep the compression down as low as possible on and burn to disks as well, but this is the main reason here!

I give up. Just wasted a DVD-DL trying to make a AVCHD disk :(

If anyone is to make a AVCHD of v2.5, please let me know.

I hope you do one, Harmy.

For now, I'll have to resign to v2.1, which is beautiful on its own.

Harmy, if it helps with the AVCHD and DVD downscales, I extracted the lossless audio from h_h's new 5.1 DTS-MA track and re-encoded it as a 448k AC3 using aften.  Not as nice as if he does it himself using his new pro tools, but I'm throwing it out there just in case it becomes an issue for too long.

Just recently watched 2.5 and it was great. Wonderful job Harmy, h_h and all others who were involved in this whole project! Thanks so much for the thousands of hours that this project has taken!

Couldn't wait more and "wasted" (for lack of a better word) a BD25 and watched SW DeEd 2.5 on my LG BD player. Well, while I must say I didn't really agree to all the "it's like watching a whole new movie" comments for v2.1, I did feel like watching a completely different movie with v2.5.

great work, Harmy and everyone else involved. Looking forward to the full Blu-ray, and Empire v2 (I'm watching v1.0 while typing this).

Please bear with me if I tend to get too excited about anything or say too much, I have issues.

Yooz guys dont think there could be any link between this project and the fact that someone put it up on teh and all of a sudden teh is gone, do you???

Im scared!!!

I love Lucasfilm and Disney.

Just thought I'd say.

I love all you guys too.

But not in that way!

Well maybe.

This has happened before, hasn't it?  I'd give it some time to see if it goes back up.

I doubt there's a link between the two - teh was full of links to all kinds of warez - including the most recent Hollywood releases, so I doubt they would come down on it because of an edit of a 36 years old movie, that only a handful of people would download (comparatively to the other stuff on there) - I mean even SW was on there in like 50 different forms, including full 2011 BDs and so was a ton of 2013 blockbusters.

Is there any reason why you can't just use pastebin and tell people what to search for?
