The 10th Anniversary depends on what you consider our go-live date.

This teaser went live in June 2002:

The original petition and forum went live on March 10, 2003:

My forum join date is a couple weeks prior to that because I installed and tested the old software before the launch.

I'd say the 10th anniversary is tomorrow.

Oldest capture of the forum here:

Some zero-day members (join date 10 March 2003) were PSYCHO_DAYVBosskmotti_soL and Luke Skywalker.

There don't seem to be any of the old threads on the new software, I seem to remember there was a loss of data around 2005.

HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY OT.COM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jay, I don't think I've ever said this and I should have said it a long time ago:

Thank you for making this place.  Thank you for letting us have this community here.

Congrads on 10 years of operating this great forum!

Happy 10, OT.com. I discovered you too late, but I'm glad I'm here now. :)

Happy 10th, OT.com.

I know I only showed up a couple years ago, but I still want to that this is a great forum.

As a gift, I finally signed that petition.

As with the above, formally Happy Tenth Birthday to the site! I haven't quite been here since the beginning; I think it says I registered in November '05, but I was lurking since the beginning of 2004. Either way, I've been here for quite some time, and there is a reason that this is the one forum I have consistently visited all of these years. Thanks to everyone who has made it what it is, especially you Jay.

It's amazing how far the preservation idea and we have a whole have progressed - from Dr. Gonzo and TR47's sets based on LaserDiscs to what I can only hope are stupendous Blu Rays from Team Blu, Team -1 and Harmy. Cheers to everyone

May the Force be with you.

Happy 10th, Ot.com! I've been here for four years and I've learned many many things about Star Wars, about movies, about preservation, about everything. I cannot but agree with SS4DarthPayne, this place is what it is because of the preservations and the community, the people who are able to make it happen, preservationists and regulars, who often brighten my day with a laugh.

So to them, to all the nice people, the mods and admins, the butchers, the bakers, the candlestick-makers, thank you.

Hey guys, could I get an invitation to this party?  My ratio is excellent.  Thanks!

Those old threads aren't lost. I archived them when we started having performance problems on the old software. Since they were in separate database tables when I installed the new software, the scripts I wrote to port the data didn't include them. They're still in those tables, so it's possible to port them over at some point.

Happy 10th anniversary, everyone. Thanks for hanging around so long :) It's been my pleasure to keep the lights on for you.
