IT'S MY TRILOGY, AND I WANT IT NOW!
"[George Lucas] rebooted the franchise in 1997 without telling anyone." -skyjedi2005
"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

The good news is you get to be involved in NNRRPPB! Part Deux!

So who is Hans Duo?
Hans Duo at SWCL said:
My answer is: Probably Ric Olie. It's probably a generic answer because, as everyone knows the entire Star Wars Saga revolves around him.
My question is: What is your favorite Ric Olie Quote?

That's me.

I love how they never come back and check on their threads to make sure we're not about to do what we're about to do.
They currently are doing just what you said they don't do.
Hi there, Fate Foretold!
EDIT: Check the OP out. It's Jeditray!

Well that's fate for you.
I can't really blame him for removing the first post and link after the reaction it got. This actually looked like a much better site than that NNRRPPB one. Maybe, instead of jumping on anyone new in here to rip into them, we should give them a chance. No wonder this site is getting a really bad name in Star Wars fandom.
Yeah, I actually liked it.
We joked around but I don't think we did any damage.
I haven't a clue what sort of name this site has in fandom circles but the only reason the NNRRPPB thread was allowed to stay by Moth3r's decree was because it briefly became a focus of OT.COM style attention/larking around.
Did that wreck that poor chap's role playing forum?
It's difficult to say.
It certainly gave his site more activity than it had before and has had since.
Maybe if there had been a general interest outside the OT.COM comedy players troupe the initial influx would have drawn more serious users eventually to his site even from the same link (even as an underdog protest).
As shown on the other thread his attempts to promote NNRRPPB on other forums were greeted with an instant thread closure and his post deleted.
I imagine the same would happen if Fate Foretold tried to promote his forums on the same site.

Ok... I missed this one. What was homeboy's post even about? Even reading the reaction I'm not sure.
If that was the reputation of the site sevenish years ago I don't see it as a sign of things going down hill, riding a plateau possibly.
Nice to read the TFN thread being every bit a wobbly bit contest than the worst found on here.
Any road up, looking at what people have actually posted on the site mentioned in this thread (before the opening post white dotted) it looks as if it's been a positive experience with OT.COMers not wrecking the place but having polite fun.
Bingo said a lot of what I was thinking.

Yeah it's spam, but at least it's on-topic. I know Jay is not too keen on people who abuse his resources to promote their own forums, but I don't see that this little operation on a free forum host is any threat.
I'll leave this thread intact for you guys to have fun with.
So attempts to use this forum to create traffic for your own forum isn't looked on very kindly.
Having said that, if either of these people had any sense of humor, things would go better I'm guessing. Deleting your OP and thread title, instead of trying to discuss the situation? Lame.

Those were easy ones to find as in both cases they came here to start a thread to hash things out. I'm more interested in the terminology and critiques they make of this place which are more off the cuff. (what pet names have they given this place?) I'm not clued into those kind of places/people, which is why I asked. With a few example statement I should be able to find more.
OT.com haz an Lulzsec. phun for 1 not fun 4 dem.
I used to go on TFN pretty often for a few years, there were like, 3 fruitcakes who would compare OT.com to a hate crime or whatever, I don't think anybody else cared.
It wouldn't surprise me after the way we've treated kenkraly and others that our reputation is low. A bit of irony from the one pointing this out, no?
However, I don't condone JediTray's actions. His odd habit of deleting projects was ... okay, I guess, but repeatedly contacting other people - some by physical mail, if I'm not mistaken - in order to get reinstated is despicable. If our "reputation" is because of him then obviously he's been spinning lies.

Go read the original post for the NNRRPPB! and you'll have a good idea what this OP was about.
And here's where we were invited:

Oh, almost all of Ric's posts have been deleted, including his character sheet for Johnny Rancor. No warning, no PM, no nothing. Again, lame. If you are going to spam our forum, how about working with us, not against us? Set up some rules, ask us kindly to live by them. If we don't, warn us, then ban us.
We might want the original trilogy, but we aren't THAT unreasonable. ;-)
