There was an interview he did somewhere that asked if he regretted any of his changes, to which he said yes. I may be leaving some out but the ones I remember were adding music that hadn't originally been in the film (which I agree with 100%) and the torture droid needle arcing electricity (which I dont care about either way....I didnt fall in love with the idea, nor did it bother me)

Yeah, but I LIKE the sounds. Plus there are shots in the original movies where the star field doesn't zoom by like that so it's not like it would be a wholesale change.

Yeesh. It's amazing how so many people can look at the words "i won't be taking any suggestions for changes/ fixes" and interpret them to mean "now eagerly accepting suggestions for changes/fixes."

That being said, is it a bad thing that this news excites me about ten times more than the official Star Wars Saga on Blu-Ray announcement ever did?

It's a shame he can't make any fixes because I pointed out waaay back that the little red light went off in the Falcon before it made the noise and Luke asked "What's that flashing?".

Didn't one of our own promise audio remastering and enhancements to the tinny audio? Seems like I remember something about it, it was a while back.

I thought it was supposed to be Alderaan debris, not a starfield? Still, the effect could have been improved with some parallax.

Some mistakes that i have in mind are( iwill not mention continuity problems that appear to the movie only based what ady did):

Mostly the new backgrounds have no moving grain. It yells static image.
When luke enters his speeder to search the uncles when the fading starts, the sky mask is messed up.
When we see Luke with his saber in MF after the destruction of the death star the colors of the panels are not match with the next same shot. (appears to the SE too)
Most of the masks are very blurry sometimes causing some weird effects. Several examples are sky replacements and rotoscoping.
Even in the comparison images by adywan there is a shot with a missing rotoed part when a tie fighter explodes outside the MF gunner cockpit. You can see the gray explosion via the yellow explosion.
Maybe artistic liberation but R2's eye is cyan and not blue.
When the stabilizers are broke lose again, biggs yells to luke, when ben says use the force,let go,trust me R2 is again Black and white
Vader green button changes during the movie to blue and faded green
During the dune sea scenes it appears a weird green tint over the sand. Green remainings also can be located to deathstar trench sequences
When the MF enters the hangar the surrounding details are not match with the rest of the shots

The dead stormtrooper on the upper open bridge on the Death Star. He appears twice before he is actually shot by Leia. Its the one that gets hit and drops to the floor of the bridge. He is there twice.

I only picked that up today. You can see the top of his helmet, his shoulder and the gun quite clearly. Once you see it you'll never miss it again.

Angel is Greek, so personally I'd walk around the word 'mistakes' and give it a prod.

I don't know the Greek word for salad let alone a short phrase meaning. "things I've noticed that in my opinion, upon reflection and repeated viewings might have been done better".

Possibly I will be in a position to appreciate a HD version of ANH:R in 2016 and I'm sure loads of people will love it all over again.

I just hope I live long enough to see you get your teeth into the ROTJ and the PT as I've never experienced satisfaction with those films.
