Power of that magnitude may look scary even if it's the light side.

Another film that has eyes with different settings for dark and light is The Keep.

Glowing white for the good guy and glowing red for the evil chap with the thick neck.

I think Sith eyes are silly generally but it might be fun to see them done differently in an edit of the whole saga (more as curio).

They sort of turn up in TMBTM's Grindhouse ANH.

maybe yoda should have scary eyes in that scene. Luke looks a little freaked.

nah, i would hope ady wouldn't do that. might be a fun mock up though.

The only other sith eyes that really match anakin's was darth maul.

Updated version of my older platform mockup:

Now the matte is accurate with the set.

Added the missing hallway around the pylon as well the interior details and colors are the same with the next set shots..

Thanks WookieGroomer and his HD version that im using from now on :D

The light behaves more natural me thinks..

And the perspective is corrected as well

Nice! That AT-AT should show in the ground battle somewhere and be blown up... by like a falling tree or something.

Absolutely gorgeous picture babes! but one criticism, the red window is in the wrong spot.

Many improvements, but I think that instead of adding more trees behind the AT-AT, you should have removed one or two.

Where does the AT-AT come from? ;)

It is walking forwards, not backing into the docking position, am I right?

^Just a guess but the woods?

I do not subscribe to the idea that an AT-AT cannot make it through the woods, I'd imagine it would have all manner of hidden saws and rams for getting through forests (otherwise it would be rather pointless it being there).

Well in the establishing shot we see an imperial station that desapears in the day matte...

I cant/dont know what can be this..

As for the tree backdrop i just google an image because i got lazy XD lol

the point was the platform ;)

I just noticed something the Battle of Endor... Gray Squadron is actually suppose to be a B-wing squadron. If you look at their cockpits

http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/thumb/d/d3/Grayfour.jpg/250px-Grayfour.jpg

and compare to the Y-wing cockpit in ANH:

http://www.myuselessknowledge.com/swfa/tiree.gif

they are nothing alike... The Battle of Endor should of had b-wings and that would explain the vastly different pilot gear and cockpit discrepency...

I'm all for putting some Y-Wingers in proper cockpits in traditional outfits and swapping those interiors for B-Wingers.

Neither fighter groups got enough screen time in my book and it's much easier to get people with the traditional Rebel pilot outfits than the slightly more obscure ones (though I'm sure the Rogues have a fair mix of both).

With the B-wing cockpit footage from ROTJ those shots can be converted to B-wing usage which would be sweet to have those bombers in action for the space battle. I just happened to notice that the cockpits didn't match up and thus the difference in the uniform finally made sense.

Rogue Squadron (the ones in the movies) is primarily an X-wing fighter unit and in the bulk of the EU they have primarily used the X-wing class of starfighters (Wedge made it a point to solely use the X-wing class as it was symbolic of those who previously flew both Death Star runs and took them out using the X-wing) and they have the best balance of speed, shields/armor, and weaponry. In the Rogue Squadron games they use all kinds of fighter craft that suit the mission profile.

Devastator

Unless you meant my Rogues =D In which we solely have the iconic orange X-wing gear. There are people that have made "Y-wing"/B-wing gear but it is very rare... But since the battle of Yavin has the pilots flying the Y-wing wearing the orange flight suits I guess it'd be okay to be interchangeable. =)

Speaking of which, does anyone find the B-wing and A-wing pilot outfits (specifically the helmets) to be a bit... goofy?

is that microphone sticking in his nose?

and... ahhh, what's the point... :D

I just think it's funny that they have the time to start yelling and yet not eject. =P

The X-wing helmets were based off of Vietname era USAF pilot helmets.

These... were based off of... err... *shrug* lol Not many people do these costumes so i guess there's no much research about it and I assume since the budget for ROTJ was great by this point and they could just build more spacey kinds of helmets. =) Note that no one ever notices that the Y-wing pilots in ANH wear "X-wing" gear. =P

Eject? they have no oxygen masks.

TIE pilots have them but their fighters explode as soon as they're hit.

so you got Imperials that could survive in space but really never have the opportunity to eject and the Rebels don't even have masks for it

and even in ROTS you had those dumbass clone pilots with rebreathers connected to an open faced helmet

I think the TIE pilots have masks because they don't have life support in their ships at all.  Rogue Leader can back me up on that.

Design wise, you can't see their faces because they're EVIL, but that's beside the point.

Yes I can OO5, =D TIE Fighters are not equipt with ejector systems, internal life support (thus they have wear their own), shields, or hyperdrive. In other words, the Empire see their pilots as a renewable resource... like stormtroopers. =P

All Rebel starfighters are equipt for going EV or allow the entire cockpit to eject. In the case of the X-wing, charges throw the canopy off while the entire seat ejects with the pilot along with any astromech unit the fighter may have. There is a mask that pilots can use for going EV however it is unclear if it's a mask the place on or if it's placed on them automatically... like Iron Man. =D

Hence why biggs told porkins to eject

Yub yub, although if you think about it... Porkins would of been caught in the BOOM as the DS blew even if he had ejected. The Death Star run was considered a suicide mission... Thus Rogue Squadron's legendary rep. =D
