I certainly hope this speculation is incorrect. This was huge news for all serious Star Wars fans, a real chance to get a high quality transfer without waiting God knows how long for Lucas to decide to be more reasonable on this issue.

Adywan, thanks for sharing that info. To be honest, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was #1. There always seems to be a frightening information hole surrounding the person you mentioned.

i've replied to everyone that emailed me.

know how to balance it a lot better than i do..

there's been layoffs at my job, everyone is working twice as hard,

its been that way since january. i just had my first vacation this

year last week.  i've been putting in overtime, and doing extra work,

to ensure that i have a job..

please realize, that no matter how badly i wish things had progressed

they didn't, and i couldn't really do anything about it.

i'm not trying to make anyone feel bad. but seriously, i deserve all

the hate. i'm just not good at keeping in touch, or being accessible.

i've been burned by so many people, and people that i thought were

friends SO many times, i've given up a lot of times too..

(you can skip this sickenly sweet part here)  yeah, i met a girl,

an amazing one (no, she's not into star wars), maybe my first

date/girlfriend ever....it's a huge thing for me, and it's taking a

lot of time an effort, so what can say? maybe my priorities have

changed? [and it does take money of course]...

Since I'm new here I'm unaware of what precisely happened here. But I just checked some pages of this project thread and I'm stunned by the prints of the OT that you have in your possession.

I'm serious. That's a true gold mine. Not in terms of money, but in terms of what you could mean for Star Wars fandom if we finally could be able to have a quality restoration of the original versions of the OT!

I'm asking you, please, please allow me to help you. I'm currently in the progress of working on lots of things but if you'd provide me with transfers of these prints in digital format (computer file) I'd restore them, frame by frame if I must. I kid you not, I have already done a fair share of frame by frame work on numerous private projects.

Even if you'd only supply the material you have in your possession, just try to imagine what credit you'd receive for finally giving the Star Wars fan community what they've been waiting for, for so long.

1) the prints have been preserved in trunks now, and i haven't even opened them

up since this january

2) we all knew this was going to be private anyways, so why get excited if nothing

was happening?

3) my previous contact did keep in touch, but kept putting things off due to technical

reasons (i couldn't do anything about it)

4) i chose to keep quiet, rather than continously telling people something was happening,

when in fact nothing was happening.

on another note..

5) did anybody see 'fanboys'? i thought it was OK.. it wasn't that great, but it had a few good

moments..

I too understand how real life can get in the way. Boy do I know. every single person i know is married, has kids, or is involved/girlfriend, etc.

i just turned 42 this year in april, and it hit me hard..

seriously, even though i kept in contact with someone (who of course told

me to keep everything private)...  i kept waiting and waiting and never gave

up, even though i told them i had the money, and was prepared for whatever

they wanted to do..

nothing happened, and there was nothing i could do about it.

that this would take a long time. people still want something to happen on their

schedule, and not with real life, and its delays and problems..

i've ALWAYS been a loner.. that's just how i am.

i don't even talk to my parents much, since i really can't stand hearing

their complaints about me all the time..

i have one brother who i keep in touch with, but he doesn't really talk to me either..

so you can see why, i feel like i don't need to keep in touch,

because the last thing i need is a bunch of 'parent's that keep asking

me what's going on, and what's happening.. i get that in real life, and

i can't STAND it..

i dont' know your situation..

but for the last 2 weeks i've been out almost every night until at least 3am !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the girls 23, and she REALLY knows how to party..

trust me, i'm as baffled as anyone about how this came about,

its a really long, and weird story..

there are some things in life that come along, and you

just have to go for it... (like getting the SW prints)..

this is one chance for me, that i've never had before,

and as much as i love 'star wars', there's some things

that just don't compare..
