The Official babyhum Release Thread — Page 32

To all,
Thank you for all you recent emails and posts. Yes it has been quiet on the babyhum front of late. I'm afraid life takes precedence sometimes. There will be further bh releases. When? I don't know. I had hoped to get my Star Wars The Legacy Revealed disc out by now but my computer had different ideas about that and checked itself into the Apple repair centre before I could proceed. I wouldn't be lying if I said I'd lost interest slightly in 'the scene' of late. Sometimes it feels like 'it's all been done'. But then I receive a disc in the mail hungering to be released. I'd like to thank everyone who has sent me material. It will see the light of day. Let's just pray (and not prey) that we get that Michel Parbot documentary released and stir everyone's fire again.

Man, I've emailed Babyhum a ton of times...and even messaged him and haven't heard back. Was wondering what was going on. I had sent him a ton of stuff but never heard back. I hope some of it sees the light of day. I might have to start 'releasing" it myself.

Well hello there...

Firstly let me apologise for my lengthy absence. Every now and then, your personal life takes priority and I'm afraid mine became a big priority.

My grandmother, who suffered from Alzheimer's passed away last year, and now, someone else very close to me, has been diagnosed with the condition.
Alzheimer's is a progressive and terminal disease for which there is currently no cure. In its early stages, short-term memory loss is the clearest symptom: this leads to confusion, anger, mood swings, language breakdown, long-term memory loss, and the general withdrawal of the sufferer as his or her senses decline. Gradually the sufferer loses minor, and then major bodily functions, until death occurs.

When it happens to someone you've known your whole life, heartbreaking is an understatement.

In September of this year I will be undertaking a sponsored trek across the Andean Mountains in Peru in aid of the Alzheimer's Society.

All I ask of you generous folk is that you sponsor me as much as you can (£1 would do, a tenner would be fantastic, anything higher would be incredible. I need to raise a total of £2800 by June in order for me to take part.

You can send me a donation by visiting http://www.justgiving.com/perupot

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Anyone donating £20 or more will not only be contributing to a very worthy cause but will also be automatically sent a copy of my next release (at my own expense, not the charities) and will be entered into a draw to win a special prize (details to follow, but it will be good!)

Thank you all for taking the time out to read this post.
Regards
bh

Author

Absolutely. I was going to suggest it. I've got the 'True Story' documentary from Channel 5 also, so i'll get you a disc. The Indy coverage is still going on here at the moment so i'll wait till i've got it all

Wow, it's been a while since someone posted something in here.

Well, first of all, Hello!!

I'm Carlos, I'm from Peru and I found this forum looking for some place to find a DVD cover art for an Star Wars Special.

Here in Peru, a group of people has put together a group of 12 DVD containing non-released material from the Original Trilogy and it´s also called "The Star Wars Preservation Project".

I´m very interested in getting this versions (babyhum's versions) and the reason for this is all the good reviews.

Well, the million dollar question is:

Where can I find this torrents? Or is there some other way to get them?

Please I hope someone could help me, this is something that every fan in the world should have and share, and that's what I pretend to do here in my country.

Best regards,

May the force be with you all.

About halfway down the page.  Look for the ones that start with BH.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

Am I losing it or didn't someone do artwork for multiple releases in one case?  I just bought 4 disc amaray cases and I wanted to start consolidating Babyhum's amazing releases.  Does someone have artwork for something like this?

There is no artwork like that for the whole series, that I know of.  I did make alternate cases for the series, and a couple were double cases, and I believe one triple case (the UK premieres)  All of those cover arts are available at www.fanedit.org and here: http://www.avpsgallery.fanedit.org/thumbnails.php?album=7

You'll need to register to avpsgallery to access all the covers, but all of babyhums stuff (official covers, and alternates) is on that page.

There was another person here who said he was going to do them but he's disappeared.  Hasn't posted all year.  Oh well :( :(

Hello,

Sorry to ask but how is it possible to get an invitation on myspleen.net ? Because I cannot have a free news server with alt.binaries.starwars,

Thanks,

Pierre

I know.  For a while, they were about the only projects being released on these boards.

I finally completed my babyhum set with the final volume I was missing (I lost bh013 before I had a chance to burn it!), and I miss the quality and consistency of those regular releases.  Mind you, that's a formidable legacy with just those 18 volumes.  But I can't help wishing they were still coming.  There's still a number of odd documentaries and TV specials that would really be great for the babyhum treatment...
