Celebration IV

How many of you all are planning to attend? I'm flying out to see my best friend on the 24, so i'll likely be there in attendance the 25th/26th.....just wondering if many planned to be there or not, personally i'm going in with lowered expectations since the shape of Star Wars these days is pretty abysmal, but its free for me so whatever.

Also, I would however encourage everyone going to see the One-Man Star Wars show; my parents sponsored the guy in our town and he was just incredible. Really really cool show & person.

I'm going to be there for the whole event. I've been to every Celebration so far, and haven't regretted it.

Hoping to run into some of you folks there, but without a method of recognition I know that's just about futile. I do intend to be wearing some kind of Holiday Special t-shirt at some point, so if you see that it's very likely to be me.

I live real close, but I'm not going...
Was considering going to see the 6 films on the big screen but it ain't worth it. I'm not a con person, tried ComiCon last year and was "eh" on it.

Don't know much about the events or layout really, but if you see a long-haired blond guy wearing a Han Shot First shirt & playing a Nintendo DS, thats me. I do kinda want to see if they have a role-playing section as i'm hoping there might be a preview of the Star Wars rule system going on somewhere.

Hmm, so X0 t-shirts and hats do exist. So, when are we going to be able to purchase them, or are they staying soley in the hands of the elite ones?

The order is supposed to be ready on Monday. Just in time for me to pick them up and bring a few with me when I fly out to L.A. the next day. I will have some for sale at C4 for those who can track me down. I will have a page set up on the web site for online sales, either this weekend if I get to it, or the weekend after next when I get back.

My Projects:
[Holiday Special Hybrid DVD v2]
[X0 Project]
[Backstroke of the West DVD]
[ROTS Theatrical DVD]

I'll be there the whole weekend. A OT.com get together might be interestingto place faces to screen names.
There's good in the Original Trilogy, and it's worth fighting for.

You mean one of their "exclusive" figures, that will show up by the hundreds on E-bay the very next day, and for sale on the OS two weeks later?

I'd like to show up at least one day (never been to an SW convention.) Need to run into Zion....dude still has my LD!

(I wouldn't mind a newer, bigger X0 shirt as well. )

Yeah thats the one...i was in line for 5 hours to get one at the last Indy celebration. I know they would be on ebay and star wars store, but there is something (at least to me) knowing that it came from the Celebration and someone had to get it there. Stupid I know!

No, I wasn't mocking you. I understand the difference in getting it there. I just didn't like how the giveaway itself was done. I think it's an insult to folks like you.

Sorry if I came off that way. I also agree that they way the giveways are done suck! Like I said I was in line for 5 hours to get an action figure for me and my brother in law. After 5 hours, i get to the front and told I could only get one because I only had a 1 day ticket! Finally talked the lady into letting me by 3 of them!

I wish I could wish Celebration IV away. The first "celebration" was enough for me.

I'm right there with you Sluggo. C3 was enough for me. Poorly run should have been the theme.

I honestly don't get these SW celebrations, and if this were back in 1985 and it was just a bunch of OOT fans, I don't think I would be interested either.

Although, if any of you go you should bring a sign with black bars around all 4 sides with a blurry, grainy picture of Han shooting Greedo first which says, "I guess this is the only true way to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of The Original Star Wars!"
