A new wave of Star Wars figures sporting the new 30th anniversary packaging design are now available for pre-order at StarWarsShop in case packs of 12 – and, each figure comes with a collectible coin! The following figures are included in each case pack, as well as a figure from the Ralph McQuarrie Signature Series and the Holiday Special Boba Fett

Now I'm not real big into action figures anymore, but those HS Fett and McQuarrie Vader figures look awesome! (and at least they're now acknowledging the HS's existence.

You know, that HS figure could increase curiosity in the actual special. Do I smell a potential release?

This is the Holiday Special we are talking about. I think the smell might be coming from a different kind of release.

Actually, according to zombie's book, that's a concept image of Darth Vader versus Deak Starkiller right before Deak is killed.

Yes but the talk is also that hasbro will be releasing a version of the other figure from this as Luke and the Kotobukiya one is labelled as Vader vs Luke so to the wider world this will be Luke I suppose.

Actually, the Holiday Special Boba Fett is a repaint of 2004's Vintage Original Trilogy Collection Boba Fett from ROTJ. It is a really nice figure though, so it's not so bad. If you guys like the McQuarrie concept vader, you might be interested to know that there's a whole line of McQuarrie based concept figures coming out this year including the aformentioned luke, a really neat Boba Fett (all white, & NOT just a repaint), Chewbacca & Han, a convention exclusive two pack of R2 & 3PO, & more. You can find more info at any number of star wars action figure websites.
