Darth Neo, maybe Mr. Kurtz will be attending Celebration Europe later on in the summer?

I am watching closely who will come to the Celebration Europe, although I think that the more interesting guests will come to The Celebration in America.
I also suspect that the guests are a little less "accessible" than the conventions in the Netherlands.
The conventions in the Netherlands are much smaller and guests are mixing much more with the visitors. I even had coffee a few times with Jeremy Bulloch and dinner with David Prowse among others. At one point I even drank a lot of beer till 5 in the morning with the Matrix Twins and Lawrence Makoare (Lurtz in LOTR). I think those things aren't even remotely possible on conventions like Celebration.

We'll see.............
humanity is a flawed creation.........

Neo - I'll be attending C4 in L.A (end of May), I doubt very much that Kurtz will be there (even for this, 30th Anniv. of 'ANH' - will b shocked if he's announced) ... and I agree, the celebs are very separated from the audiences during programming

Although in the Autograph Hall you do have a good opportunity for speaking w/ them (Some do even come out for drinks socially afterwords)

It's funny, Kurtz seems 2 b so removed from Lucas now, did they have a falling out? (burned themselves out from one another I guess?)

I recall there was an auction (a while back) of Kurtz letting go of some of his private 'SW' collection (posters Etc.) don't recall anything else though

Here's hoping for those guests of interest 2 b making an appearance at one of these functions - sabers crossed!

They had a falling-out sometime between Empire and Jedi, didn't they? That's why Howard Kazanjian replaced him, iirc?

The first and most important step in tracking down something is knowledge of its existence.

Prior to Darth Neo's post here, we had no knowledge of the existence of this alternate Making Of special (apart from Mark, who can finally feel vindicated!). Therefore, nobody knew to search for it, and it was not going to be found except by accident. And considering how scarce this show was, and the fact that none of us had run across a copy before, the chances of it being found by accident were pretty slim. Now that Neo has given us information about it and irrefutable proof that it exists, progress is being made towards not only tracking it down, but finding out even more info even down to contacting LFL and the director himself. This is why this forum is so remarkable, and such an important resource for the fanbase. And this is why any argument against Neo's posting about this item even if he was not planning to share it cannot hold water.

Neo, thanks for touching off this information revolution. You came to the right place, and I'm sure you won't regret it. The collective power of this group is amazing when harnessed towards a common goal.

P.S. - Neo, you might want to turn on your PM option.

Yep it is good to know it is out there.

I'm hopeful that someone else will dig it up as I would love to see it, actually I'd love to even just *hear* it!

Even an 'audio only' release would be cool to listen to.

Holy. Fucking. Shit.

The MP3 of the rough carbon freezing scene is incredible. Damn, what I wouldn't give to hear an original undubbed/unmixed soundtrack for Empire. Or any of the films, for that matter.

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Hi friends,

I'm new to this forum and I've read this Michel Parbot thread with great interest. Our great friend Garrett Gilchrist guided me here.

I dont have a copy of that special, but I have some partially poor quality recordings of some Dutch, German and British programmes which are using alot of this Parbot footage. I will upload it hopefully this coming weekend.

I'm optimistic that either the whole documentary will be published one fine day, or Darth Neo will provide it with permission of his source. Even though it is sad for the time being, I understand his reasons since he has given his word. Still I'm looking forward to seeing is upcoming website.

However, the only way to make sure a rare thing doesnt go lost, is to share it. Just imagine a rare thing is lost in a fire and there is no copy. Or one unexpectedly dies and his relatives, wifes, children simply dispose of what they might consider worthless rubbish. Be it a books, photos, films, text, whatsoever.

I appreciate very much the attitude of the members here, who so willingly share these things and save them from going lost. Stay tuned for some addtions I will make to this forum very soon. They may not be just as good and long as the Parbot special you are talking about, but probably unseen by most of you.

Regards,

Rok

Where is everybody? Something good is coming up tonight!

Parbot's footage WAS indeed aired! I am uploading 15 minutes of it to rapidshare at this very moment Plus more footage and specials to follow soon.

Come back in a few hours and bring your friends. Spread word and get everybody back in here. That will certainly bring some life back into this thread!

Darth Neo, I hope that what you soon will see, will suffice to make you reconsider. BTW, do you already know a date when your website will open? Any links yet? I cant wait to see it!

BTW, where should I post footage from ANH? Hardly any of you has seen that BTS stuff yet!
