VERY cool. I've never seen that one with the PG rating graphics at the end before. Well, other than 30 years ago on TV probably.... I'd vote for a nice high bitrate muxed mpeg 2 file... If, I had a vote that is.... Nice work Puggo.

Yeah, I'd seen this long cut before. The short one is edited differently but I think it's made up of the same scenes (unless someone sees something I don't). Wish the film had the start to go with it.

Transfered with a WorkPrinter-16. Nasty red-shift I had to adjust - responded better than I expected. And the sprocket holes were all chewed up - repaired them with some perforated tape. Tedious.

The full .avi is just under a gig. I'll try to figure out a way of posting it for download. Not into the torrent thing...

I dont' mind the name mention...and thanks to Puggo for the great work. It's very similar to the :30 that's been posted for years on Tbone's site. Here's the link in case you're unfamiliar:

...though, I've always thought that particular "tv spot" to be different audio slapped on the video portion of the '81 rerelease tv spot...which was included on the '04 DVD release ("Now, you can experience the force again.."). Hopefully we can use this spot to help make the eventual traile/tv trailer DVD project more of a success. Thanks Puggo for doing an awesome job transferring and color correcting!

This is definitely one of the 30 second TV spots. I can't match it to anything I was aware of previously, so chalk another one up on the list. There were apparently a LARGE number of different TV spots for Star Wars, based on the few video and numerous audio-only clips that have turned up here and elsewhere.
