If you want to make a set that bad, why not just use the existing ones? They're all pretty good.

Because I'm combining the EditDroid discs with the RowMan discs. And I want them to look like they come together.

Oh and just one question before I consider getting the Mono Version:

Are all the features from the Original disc present in the Mono disc? Or was the Isolated Score taken out?

Well there are some that come with blank back covers so it wouldn't be hard to make your own.

Well judging from the screencaps at http://www.galactictradefederation.com/dvd/OT/edit.html, it probably was. I also heard the picture isn't as good as V2.

I'll just skip it then. I'll already got the bootleg so it doesn't really matter.

I'd still like someone to send me those JPEGs though. They can just PM them to me.

All right, I give up. I'll just edit the original covers and make my own bonus labels. But the major problem is that on Grison's page, the only place I found them, some of the links are broken. Can someone please pinpoint me to a page with all the stuff and no broken links?

EDIT:
Never mind, the covers and labels work. It's just the inserts that are broken. Probably because they're PDF...

I'm not sure there were matching labels made for the Rowman set. I made my own set, based on the EditDroid set, but they are not as good as some of the labels I've seen on grisan's site.

Too late. I've already made the DVDs using my own pics. But thanks for the help, NOT!!!

No need to make sarcastic remarks toward the one person who was willing to help you out despite your incessant "gimme gimme!" posts.

I wasn't really aiming it at Sluggo, because he always gives me what I want. I'm just mad at everyone else because they couldn't do a little photoshop work for me in time.
Author

Because that's what we're here for, isn't it? To do your Photoshop work for you in a jiffy whenever you want it.

I've been hunting the Torrents and Newsgroups for EditDroid's Special Features 4-disc set (Japanese Making Of Set, plus commercials, trailers, music and interviews). I saw it on a person's trade list last Summer, but I've been unable to find him again. Anyone know anything about it or how to get it?

You are thinking of the Rowman set. He made it to match the ED set.

Don't think it was the Rowman set. I saved his description, but I can't seem to locate it right now. I'll see if I can dig it up tonight and post it.

I can verify that this does exist, and was the next EditDroid project to follow after their fine release of the original trilogy transfers.

It's funny, remember how long it took for the original EditDroid trilogy discs to surface here after they were made? It's taken over a year after its release for this project to be mentioned here now as well (although I did hint at it once, a while back). EditDroid continues to produce "mysterious mysteries", it seems.

I checked with the EditDroid guys just to make sure they were cool with discussion of the Special Features project here, and they were okay with it. Certainly enough time has passed for the cat to be let out of the bag!

Needless to say, they did a fantastic job on everything in this set, and it is by far their best presentation yet. The menus have 3D animated images, and make their old menus look like kindergarten work.

The four "making of" specials are transferred from the Japanese laserdisc, and have the burned-in subtitles. The transfer is excellent, as should be expected. I'd like to see how they compare to our best current transfers. Chances are they could be the best out there, and possibly the same for the Definitive Collection bonus materials as well.

The trailers collection here is essential. I've noticed that someone made a deliberate effort to include all the trailers that are missing from the official DVD set a while back, while leaving out most of the ones that are already available. Great job!

The lost music is extremely cool to watch and hear. But by far where this disc shines the most is on the extra little odds and ends. The set comes with this great custom app that plays lost SW vinyl, including the "Story Of" discs and the "Lapti Nek" 12 inch single. The commercials are fantastic, and this is the first time the Cantina Drunk Driving PSA has ever surfaced to my knowledge. I'm guessing the YouTube clips came from here. There's also the Anti-Smoking PSA, and a beautiful copy of the Burger Chef poster commercial, which may even be the first Star Wars product commercial ever. I've NEVER seen the Wolfman Jack/Vader appearance before, so that's a real gem.

The discs have labels made with a LightScribe player, I think. And there's a nice wraparound cover for the 4-disc box, though it's not quite as nice as the covers they did for the trilogy. There's also the inclusion of a new official logo for EditDroid, which is perfect.

So, there are some more details on the set. EditDroid have definitely not been resting on their laurels, and this release proves it. A lot of time, work, research, and archive digging went into this one.

Perhaps I should start a new thread for this release.

Of course you should assume that you've just gotten us all terribly, terribly interested. So these are okay to distribute now? And, if seemingly so, can I email you for a trade?

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

I can send out ONE set to somebody who can post these on a newsgroup. After that, I'm putting these back in the Disney vault forever.

Damn, I wish I had access to the newsgroups. That set sounds very nice. Hopefully somebody will take you up on that offer Sluggo, so it will hit the newsgroups and spread from there.

Given editdroid’s penchant for privacy, I decided to remove the clip so as not to call unwanted attention to the project. I’ll leave it at discussion and a few screen caps.
