Burger Chef SW Poster TV Commercials

That's cool. I've seen those SW posters, and the glasses that came out as well. They had the same designs on them as the posters. I don't recall ever seeing the ESB posters- they look nice. I've never seen a Burger Chef restaurant, though.

I like the Vader and Chewie/Han ones best.

Hey look, a bear!

I used to go to Burger Chef a lot when I was a kid. I had a couple of those posters! I also had SW and ESB glasses, but I believe they were from Burger King, not Burger Chef. Here in VA, I believe Burger Chef restaurants were turned into Hardee's restaurants sometime in the late 70's.

Yeah, I remember my Aunt in Connecticut had the Luke glass- but I'm pretty sure it said Burger King on it. I grew up in Nevada in the 1970's, but I don't remember any Burger Chefs out there either.

Cool! I remember going to Burger Chef a lot after Star Wars. I had the Darth Vader poster and my sister had the Luke Skywalker poster.

I also remember going to Burger King after Empire and collecting all four of their glasses. I did not take very good care of mine. You can now find others on Ebay in pristine condition.

I love the Burger Chef commercial for the Star Wars posters. Until a recent Burger King commercial, it was the only time I know of that you ever saw a Jawa appear on film outside of the movies. In fact, it was the only appearance of a *real* Tusken Raider outside the movies as well... one showed up in a 1997 Special Edition commercial from Taco Bell, but it was just someone wearing a lame Don Post mask.

Burger King ended up having the same posters. These were possibly the first Star Wars merchandise items I ever saw, on the wall at the neighbor girl's house. I don't think we had any Burger Chef restaurants in my area, so I'm sure they came from Burger King.

OCP posted really nice high res scans of those from the Star Wars Poster book months ago. Look around here and you'll be able to find them - WAY better than the crappy scans on that blog.

So whatever happened to Burger Chef? I too have never heard of it. Almost sounds like a parody.

There is no lingerie in space…

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don’t exist… then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks… and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

They got bought out by another company, apparently.
