Star Wars Holiday Special - the commercials

I am frankly bewildered by the Holiday Special. Words cannot describe its awfulness and its bizarreness, and I've read before that one of its redeeming features is the laughable 70s commercials seen on some copies. My copy does not include these, but I am interested in seeing them - does anyone know of any downloads that have it, or if anyone could provide these commercials?

I am pretty sure the WCBS version has commercials. Take a look around this thread for more info.

There was at least one version (don't know the TV station) that was on Kazaa or some file-sharing network that had the commercials. It isn't DVD, though, but in divx.

The first version I saw was from kazaa - it didn't have commercials but I can't remember if it was divx or not. One thing I can say though was that it started flashing "video calibration" during the "erotica" scene.

I just downloaded a copy from Limewire last week and it includes commercials. I skimmed through it and caught one auto assembly line commercial that really didn't look too different from today's ads.

Which broadcast version is that version from Limewire? Check this link for the various versions known:

Holiday Special Versions

The station ID can usually be seen during the cartoon segment.

By the way, most of the commercials were the same for each broadcast throughout the US... but each area had spots for a few local commercials as well that were unique to that broadcast. At some point I hope to do an article on the Holiday Special website about the various commercials that were shown.
