I would absolutely love to see a Assault Frigate Mark I and a Gladiator-class Star Destroyer add to the background.

Great News! You no longer need to fix Luke’s “Force Kick”! It’s been retconned!
That should save you 20 minutes.
Is there possibility of a way to include AT-AT’s into the Endor battle - or else remove that AT-AT in the one shot?!
That would be an amazing addition to help expand the ground battle, a goal Adywan initially stated.
Rotoscope the AT-AT out of ROTJ and into ESB, and rotoscope ESB’s AT-ST into ROTJ.
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

Luckily those books aren’t even really canon

They are.
From a certain point of view, it’s canon 😉

well, guess what… revisited stands in its own canon so yeah… also that book seems to be a cheap excuse to fix plot issues and just random mistakes.

So? Isn’t that what most stories that take place in established timelines do already?

Yes, but the type of fulfillment this book gives doesn’t work for this sort of edit… when you see a mistake in one of these films, you don’t think “Ahh… that’s probably been explained in one of the books I’ll never read. so it’s not a mistake!”

Oh shoot, he’s right
Given how they’ve been contradicted a few times now. I think the novels are “more what you’d call guidelines than actual rules.”

There are 2 types of canon.

There are 2 types of canon.
- the one that Disney tells people
- the one that people choose, because of the mess EU and Disney has created
Whatever. I’m still willing to accept it.
The thing is, Adywan actually LIKES the Sequel Trilogy, and we should at least respect that.
Any thoughts on updating Shaw’s ghost appearance? Canonically, Anakin is supposed to be around 45 years old-ish, but has a full head of gray. Not that it would be essential, but what if his hair was a little longer or colored darker?
The Star Wars Saga:
I · II · III · IV · V · VI · VII · VIII · IX | Rogue One · Solo
What was first just a dream has become a frightening reality…

he’s deformed, his hair can’t grow back. he’s supposed to look old here.

Technically he should look like Vader, armor and all. That’s a hill I will die on.
I like you, let us burn things together.

he’s not Vader anymore, he’s back to being Anakin. the humanity that the emperor hid behind the mask has been revealed.

Should still look like a deep fried mars bar, all be it a redeemed one.

I do beleive from the many post that have come before on this thread he will be Sebastian Shaw unedited, whether anywan will do any wizardry to make him look younger I doubt. It does make sense to do so tho (seeing as he was 78 in ROTJ and Alec was only 69(nice)) as he looks older than Obi Wan which makes little sence regardless of which films you follow the cannon of.
That said I doubt Ady will as he has prently more than enough to be getting on with is both this and his ANHR:HD edits. Is a nice idea tho.

Adywan’s quote from last month: “Never going to happen. ROTJ:R will be a “Hayden Free” edition.”

Yeah, thanks for the quote but Hayden’s exlution has nothing to do with what we’re talking about.

Yes, but every other character that dies and becomes a ghost, they look exactly as they did upon death. There’s no reason that ghost Anakin wouldn’t have scars, missing limbs, or even be out of his armor, aside from convenience.

Just for this talk the edit is delayed indefinitely. 😃

One could as easily say that every character who becomes a Jedi Force Ghost is wearing Jedi robes.
There are many interpretations of how Force Ghosts work, but one I quite like is that a Force Ghost appears as the viewer wishes them to appear. Because Luke believed that his father was a Jedi and a good man, his Force Ghost appears without any of Vader’s scars or armor. He is redeemed in Luke’s eyes, with the old and kindly visage that he saw beneath the mask. Of course, Luke is generally seen as a stand-in for the audience, so for an audience who knows Anakin from the prequels, they may expect Hayden in those robes. And so he appears, in some versions of the film.
I personally prefer the Shaw version of the ghost because I think that’s what Luke would wish to see, but I can’t deny others their (wrong) opinions.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
