Also… off topic, but can we add a new final line of Ben sadly saying “Rey” when she is dead? That is a much better final line for him than it being “Ow”.

I’m late on the Palpatine line replacement conversation, but wanted to suggest that he say something like “My new vessel has been tested. Her training is almost complete.”
Preferred Saga:
1,2: Numeraljoker extended
3: L8wrtr
4,6-9: Hal9000
5: Adywan
Why have Poe say “They call themselves The Final Order” at all? It’s not only cringe, but totally unecessary. I have only watched this film twice - half-asleep, so i might be missing something, but it comes across as totally irrelevant.
It could just be removed or replaced with new, important AI dialogue.

It’s what Palps refers to his fleet as in the intro with Kylo. Imo probably the reason they picked that name was to make it seem like they had planned this all along. Like a “See guys, there’s a reason it was called the First Order! Because there was a Final Order just waiting to happen!”
I have no feelings about it one way or the other.
I actually never liked the Final Order term either, I just figured it could be kept because it is onscreen dialogue from Poe. The only other times that term is mentioned is Palpatine off screen, and I think the exposition Resistance guy once?
You could potentially cut the shot, and slightly extend existing shots to fit the runtime without affecting the score. Or find/create a new shot that could be used for this scene. And that way you wouldn’t have to cut back and forth between original and AI dialogue. Might not be right for this edit though.
Yeah, Final Order is dumb. Might as well not name it at that point.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
As dumb as it sounds, I think it is better for it to have a name you can refer to. Otherwise the different factions of the bad guys can get murky in a film that if anything requires clarity.
The way I see it, the Final Order is to the First Order what the Republic was to the Resistance.
They should have just gone by the Sith Eternal. That’s literally the name of Palpatine’s faction until Kylo walks into his science lab that day. He just decides to change it to be all quirky or something who knows.
Lol no arguments here. But like you said before, they probably wanted to make it seem like they had planned this all along. Dear JJ can’t even plan his vacation.
About using the new healing illustration and AI line about Rey gleaning it from the texts. It’s nice to involve the texts from TLJ in the story and show she’s been studying.
And as an added bonus which isn’t necessary but doesn’t hurt anything, if a saga-only viewer wants to have a headcanon about this ability having been lost, they can. But it would not introduce anything to suggest that this was the case, either. After all, Ben seems to know how to do it no-problem. Unless the head-canon-er wants to interpret it as him having learned about it via receiving it.
So it may introduce some slight confusion in that way.
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.
^ about everything said.
I’d remove the line as to keep the unintentional laugh-out-loud moment rather be kept in the trashbin.

Also, I think the cost of changing the name of the fleet would be too high. I had a lotta problems with TROS while walking out of the theater, but the name of the fleet wasn’t one of them.
If anything, our version of things which renders it as a modified Imperial stockpile contingency plan actually fits the name “The Final Order” better.

I actually think “Final Order” is pretty good shorthand to explain the two organizations are related, but this one is bigger/better. A bit silly but it gets the point across in a movie that doesn’t really slow down to explain what “Sith Eternal” is or whatever.
Anything left for V4?
I’m assuming Palpatine isn’t gonna have any added lines.
Updated Rey vision scene
New force healing illustration in the ancient Jedi texts
Rey mentions the texts to BB-8 when she heals the sandworm
Rey’s line changed from “your brother’s saber” to “your family’s saber”
Leia tells Rey, “You are family” when she departs
Leia now ends her Jedi Path because she felt called to serve via diplomacy as their mother did
New dialogue for Poe during the briefing scene
Kylo Ren calls Palpatine “a ghost in a rotting clone”
New lines for Jannah to establish that her stormtrooper mutiny was inspired by Finn

Yup, unless somebody can think of any character in the film that desperately needs a new AI line, I think it should be set.
Added a replacement line for Rey to say: “Lightspeed clipped”
The one in V3 sticks out as being AI a little too much in my opinion.

EDIT: You just added it too, the lightspeed ramming thing.
EDIT: Replace Finn’s offscreen line to Poe about people rising up all over the galaxy with him saying, “Poe, I just lead a stormtrooper rebellion via hologram all over the galaxy. It was epic.”

Dang, that’s ironically all we needed to finish Finn’s arc in this movie. Not this line particularly lol but the concept itself. Imagine he beams out a hologram message for FO troops to rebel and that’s why we see the montage of FO Star Destroyers going down.
Would have been a better explanation than the sloppy “the people just did it”.
Now, this may seem presumptuous, but I feel like that’s one of the easier things possible. Once he decides to stay with Jannah on the Destroyer, we get a montage of hologram message playing on FO Destroyers, using AI voice lines and his model from Battlefront with a hologram filter over it.
I didn’t say it would be good, but a mockup should be possible. I’m tempted.
I like you, let us burn things together.
The easiest thing to do would be a Finn AI voice line:
“Poe, stormtroopers are rising up all over the galaxy.”
Sure, he would have only had an indirect link to that, but it’s better than nothing.
EDIT: Another thought just occurred to me. Really, this would be fixing a gaping plot hole. Assumably, Lando bringing everybody to Exegol would have given the FO free reign to take control of key systems since everybody would be gone. And then our heroes would have been in the same dire straights from Episode 8. So in all reality, this is the only explanation which patches this up.

Plus what always struck me as odd about that montage (including the one from the original film) is that the Star Destroyers are the only ships in frame. Like, who or what exactly is attacking them? Besides the Holdo Maneuver shot, there’s literally no battle going on.
If it were an inside attack, this would make WAY more sense.
Could the civilian fleet be “stormtroopers have risen up around the galaxy and helped mobilise civilian vessels into a military fleet” or something?
Maybe even mask parts of stormtrooper armour over a couple of random civilians in those shots?
Oh man, how good would it be to repurpose Finn’s, “They’ve taken enough of us. Now we take the war to them” line as a holograph being watched by storm troopers. If only.
Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.
Hmm, it’s an interesting idea, but might be clumsy. We would’ve griped about this if the movie did this.
