As gorgeous as Leia looks in Jon H’s revised Force ghost sequence, I don’t plan to expand beyond the familiar four spirits of Ben, Yoda, Luke, and Anakin. It goes against the film refraining from her (fully?) joining the Force until her son does, which would require a great deal in order to make work effectively. (We’re straining things as it is hearing her utter one word.)
As far as the shuttle vs TIE… poppasketti rendered out an Imperial shuttle to replace the regular TIE fighter that Ben uses to get to Exegol during the final act of the movie. The idea being that ANH made a point of saying that “a fighter that size couldn’t get this deep into space on its own,” and indeed ancillary material such as the novelization had to come up with a reason to explain why a seemingly regular TIE could get Ben there through hyperspace. So, even though it is a trivial matter, poppasketti spent a lot of time and effort to replace it with a shuttle which we have seen use a hyperdrive onscreen before and which would be plausible to also find laying around a ruined Death Star.
However, poppasketti also rendered out the same shot with other assets swapped in for the TIE. Some of these were jokes, such as the Tianic, Enterprise, and DeLorean. But one was Vader’s TIE from ANH. And some people around here expressed favoring using this instead of the shuttle. They liked the symmetry of Luke’s ship and Vader’s ship, and it looked better visually. However, I preferred the shuttle because it seems to make more sense. (Where did Vader’s TIE come from? We even see him arrive on the second Death Star using a shuttle. Was it onboard his Super Star Destroyer, and fall onto the Death Star when they collided??)
So, I put it to a vote. Which I sort of regret, because my preferred option lost out! But, I have not heard complaints about it anyway, so V2 had Vader’s TIE deliver Ben to Exegol.
