Could you post a link to it? I think Battle of the Heroes would be more fitting to emphasize the water/lava parallel.Battle of the Heroes is my favorite duel and soundtrack- I agree that it’s very fitting for both fights with the parallels. I’m a big fan of this edit:
The track actually lines up really well 😄
I’d say it would fit better using the choirless version:

Doesn’t work for tone of fight neither would a full duel of the fates, I’d like to see another small allusion to Battle of the heroes, same way of what was done with DOTF from Solo.

Guys, I’m fine! I just lament the inability to spend quality time with editing on this project. But I am able to do what is needed to fold this together. I just wish I had more time to dedicate!
I want to keep a tight focus for this project’s scope, in order to actually release a finished product and suspend indefinite “could do-s.”
And, Cinefy, no joke, I would be happy to send you a lossless audio export if you’d like to do whatever you’d like to it musically and let me mux it in as an alternate audio track.
I know I’ve made some very poor decisions recently.

Oh, and great work!! Send it to me and I’ll implement it to stand in case Jonh isn’t able to get the haircut thing. Not because I doubt him, but because it seems impossible!

Big improvemnt, ghost outline looks more like ESB/ROTJ, we just need the hair cut.

I’m honestly over trying to get good John William music in, just responding to what Brewzter was saying

The disc / suite version of Battle of the Heroes features a subtler beginning and ending section that don’t appear in Episode III. Maybe those parts could feature somewhere.

Hal isn’t really interested in adding any of the prequel music, which I respect since It’s his edit. Lets just be lucky we got DOTF and R2/3PO theme in, Lol. (I did find a really nice hyperspace theme from Attack of the clones that worked really well over one scene, but probably no point sharing it)

Just use the Redux Ideas Thread.
You’ve got to ask yourself one question: “Am I making Carrie Fisher’s ghost proud?”
Well, are ya, punk?
My offer was sincere, so let me know if you do change your mind.

Had this idea for awhile, added some Palpatine dialogue to Kylo’s vision at start of film, might not have been placed in the best place but I think it could work somewhere.

For the de-blue’d Luke, I’m a bit worried that when a final grade is applied Luke will look too washed out. Maybe it would be worthwhile to do the blue reduction on top of whatever final grade you settle on so that the look can be precisely adjusted.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
When I make it that far we can see, and see how it looks in the upcoming workprint. So far I’m doing a scene by scene application of the LUTs from skenera. Some environments call for less change than others.

Yoda was hardly blue in TLJ. If we’re lucky I can just overlay it and be able to adjust opacity to adjust if needed.

The amount of blue can easily be tweaked by increasing or decreasing the opacity of the de-blued clips before applying the LUT.

Hal, faces sometimes look sunburned with the Pasaana LUT, so it’s probably easier to just use the “reduce_green_tint_v3.7” LUT.
I only have a reduce_green LUT without a version number and an alternate. (Plus pasana and grey Exogol.)
Can you send me the most recent LUTs you have?

I don’t think I’ve updated the Pasaana and Gray Exegol LUTs, but just in case:

That comparison is showing the issue I feared - overlaying the de-blued Luke is bringing those unwanted green/blue tones back into the rest of the frame.
(Although, I really like the de-blue + LUT)

Holy crap, I forgot how bad the original Luke ghost looked. He looks like one of the ghosts from Ghostbusters 2016.
I think the full de-blue is too much, but the 50% version looks nice. It fits more with my expectations of what a Force Ghost should look like.
My preferred Skywalker Saga experience:

The newer green reduction LUT seems to be a big improvement over the first one! I’d been applying the old one at about 50%, but this one might look good at full blast.
If you wouldn’t mind, skenera, maybe it’d be better if you could render out and send me the de-blue clip at, say, 67% application? That is, two thirds of the way to a total de-blueification.

Hey.
We don’t talk about that abomination here.
