Lol, double the Hondo impossible/lore breaking move.

What would a Hondo maneuver even look like?

Sorry, I meant more like what Dominic’s suggestion of having another “haldo maneuvered” Star Destroyer for the Naboo shot instead of the smoking ship. I wasn’t clear. My bad.

“Because you are a PalpaWalker?”

Forgive my terrible memory, but why are all these Star Destroyers exploding over random planets? (I only saw TROS once, so I might be forgetting something).

I moved all of this victory montage after the Resistance victory scene on Ajan Kloss. That way it can be The Resistance and their new fleet aiding in taking down the First/Final Order.

Yes!!!

And I was just being difficult 😉

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

I don’t think a “Hondo maneuver” would be PG-13 enough for a Star Wars movie. Best to leave that to the imagination.

We’d then be about in the same boat foe the Coruscant shot, wouldn’t we?

Yeah it wouldn’t be a solution to anything just an alternative.

It’s confirmed Palpatine was using Vader’s voice to talk to Kylo through the force via the broken helmet, which I think the visual dictionary says Palpatine cursed it before his fall in ROTJ, Is there anyway of showing that better in TROS/TLJ/TFA, felt very foggy and left out.

Would be interesting if Vader said ‘Find Me’ instead of Palpatine at start of film - He used Vader’s voice to create a fake sense of security in controlling Kylo, he actually believed Vader’s spirit was guiding him.

Hal, have you considered having Luke speak to Ben during the Mustafar Opening or when he is repairing his mask? Maybe just a quick line like “Ben”, but something just to be consistent with Luke’s last words in TLJ of “see you around kid”.

Use the Force, Joh Yowza.

He “sort of” tells Ben, “you killed him,” during the mask vision. I don’t have any plans, but I’d be open to it if anyone has any ideas.

There’s not much in his only dialogue-having ST deleted scene.

“Will you be here next month?”

“Sorry, you just ran so fast!”

Remember Rise of Skywalker is the true sequel of The Force Awakens, so it doesn’t really care either happened in the last movie. 😉

So many people bring up this complaint, but I’ve never understood it. There were plenty of references to TLJ throughout the movie. You can argue that the movie was thematically at odds with TLJ, but it didn’t ignore the previous movie like so many people claim.

There may not be any suitable lines from ST Luke to use to haunt Kylo.

Mark Hamill’s Joker, on the other hand…

Maybe “Ben! No!” during the mask repairing scene?

Okay cool. I was still waiting on a couple of revisions to be submitted for the Knights of Ren audio, but I’ll go ahead and get a Google Drive folder made with the current sound pack. I’ll get it to you in the next day or two.

Disney Star Wars canon can be described as Swiss cheese.

Ehhh. It’s been, save for production errors (editor notes not getting passed on corrrectly, etc), the changes to the the Siege of Mandalore Arc, and JJ not giving a shit re: Poe’s backstory, pretty consistent, IMO. Nothing on the scale of… say, Dark Empire 1 completely ignoring that Leia already had two children because Timothy Zahn wouldn’t let Dark Empire be set prior to the Thrawn Trilogy and thus it having to be moved after the Thrawn Trilogy last second, or Dawn of the Jedi prominently featuring Twi’Leks and Xabraks thousands of years before either species came into existence.

At there very least, there’s been much less need for post-facto patchup jobs, like the Essential Reader’s Companion acted as (bless Pablo Hidalgo, lol. Legends would have been infinitely less functional without his hand in it,) and it’s felt overall much more thematically consistent to me, but you’re entitled to your opinion. Legends continuity only looks clean if you read it on Wookiepedia or in one of the guides. I love it to death, but without the smooth-over jobs done by Pablo and co, it’s… well, it’s like swiss cheese.

No need to hurry! It will not be the last thing I’ll end up waiting for. I would not say I’m impatient, just looking forward to being able to set it all down.
