This is excellent! Is it in stereo or 5.1? Think it would sound awesome if different voices come in from left and right.
Right now it’s only stereo. The plan is to give Hal three panned files of just the mixed chatter for the L, C and R channels (we decided not to use the surround channels, as the fleet is directly in front of the viewer) so he can lay them on top of his mix, but that will be once we’ve finalized the placement of each line. I’m not messing with the original audio at all, so those files should seat in with the film audio juuuuust fine.
…actually, maybe during the “For Skywalker!” bit, we could try throwing two of them in the surround channels, one each. I don’t have a surround sound setup to test it in, but I’m assuming Hal does. I’ll send him a couple of isolated shouts so he can play with that.

And yeah, despite it being the original idea, reducing “For Skywalker” to just a couple voices is probably for the best. It might be better to even tone down the alien battle cries about Skywalker somewhat at the end.
And I can’t tell, did you maybe shift around the last check-in before we go to Lando? As it is in that clip it sounds like, and very well may be, the same female voice saying two things in close proximity. I think what was there before sounded more like a phone recording and was a markedly different voice. (I’m using my work computer’s speakers though, so I could be wrong.)
(Gotta go, can’t let the man know what’s up!)
You know what? That might be the same voice twice. It’s got Versio and then the “Minotaur”. I didn’t realize they were the same person doing both clips. Originally, you had a different female voice there, but it was one of the lowest-quality recordings out of all of them, so it sounded out of place right at the end. I moved it earlier and swapped with a better-sounding clip, so yeah, we’ve got two in a row from that person now. I’ll fix that.
I’ll also bring down the aliens at the end so it’s less muddy and report back. No rush, we don’t need your boss to know what the pfargtl you’re up to.
