Would someone mind PMing me a link? I have yet to experience this thing & would like to do it right. Thanks in advance!

Guys,

There isn’t “a link” to this - there’s not a website I know of that you can just go to and download it. If you belong to torrent sites, you may be able to find it on one of those. Unfortunately, the only torrent site I know of that has it for sure is not giving out invites currently, so even members can’t help you on that. Keep searching, and good hunting!

I Did Stumble Across The YouTube Video That Was In 60FPS and it was The Star Wars Holiday Special.

A while back, I had installed some “60 FPS filter” plugin that didn’t seem to be working, and I forgot all about it.

Then I downloaded the Holiday Special and I think it finally started working…and it gave me some serious motion sickness >_<

At least, that’s the only explanation I can think of. After I burned it to a disc and watched it on a different setup, it didn’t quite have that “soap opera look” anymore.

Hello guys,

I just recently downloaded this version and it is fantastic but there is one problem I am having. When clicking Play with Rifftrax on the Menu it doesn’t automatically play the Rifftrax version as it should and instead you have to manually switch the audio track. Not a big deal but just a slight inconvenience. Anyone else having this issue?

I would also love a copy of this as I was sent here while looking for a good copy. Thanks!

I don’t recall ever seeing that happen during testing. It’s possible your player is overriding the Rifftrax audio track selection and defaulting to the standard English track instead.

If I were to burn the VIDEO_TS Folder onto a Blu-Ray disc, will it work as if it were a DVD or not?

Not in a DVD player it wouldn’t, the media’s not readable. But software players don’t care about filesystems and media. i.e. VLC can play VIDEO_TS from NTFS. In a Blu-ray player, I doubt such a disc would work reliably across models, if it works at all – it is readable, but doesn’t match any known disc spec.

So basically if I burn the file onto a disc and pop it into a PS4/PS3/Blu Ray player it will work? Sorry, I do not get the last part

I don’t think anyone can answer that until you do it. What you’re describing is the same thing as AVCHD discs (Blu-ray format on DVD media, which work on some players, but not others), but in reverse. You’re making DVD format on Blu-ray media. I’m assuming, like AVCHD, some players may understand what to do with it, but I wouldn’t count on it.

Springing for some writable DVD media would be pretty painless and would always work.

I see I see, Thanks for the patience and the reply!

I too made my own Special Edition of the Holiday Special.
I used the “Broadcast Master” copy that’s out there and blew it up to 720p.
I gathered a few extras for the disc as well, a commentary track that I found by the B-Movie podcast as well as various clips of the cast and crew discussing making the thing as well as the commercials and the CBS promo.

When I figure out how to upload the ISO up to trackers I’ll do it.

No. I just don’t see the point to be honest. I like my turds pure, not polished.

Is the Zion version from 2011 (assuming V1?) basically the same as V2 from a video quality perspective? V2 seems to be unavailable.

Is anyone able to help me acquire V2 for my personal trilogy project? I appreciate the help in advance.

It’s not common to see a DVD at 29.97p de-interlaced. I definitely see some frame blending. Most television content is 59.94 fields per second (or 59.94i/29.97 interlaced frames per second, not 29.97i). 60i would have looked amazing on a CRT. Thank you so much for restoring this, though!

Is the Zion Hybrid V2 available anywhere other than the spleen? I’ve had luck tracking down most of the other projects I was interested in, but can’t seem to find this one anywhere.

Hi there,

I recently stumbled across this and was wondering how it might be possible to get a copy of Zion’s V2? It sounds excellent. I know some are for sale online, but I don’t think it is appropriate to buy it…

Thanks to anyone who is able to help!

EDIT: Nevermind, found a copy! Thank you to those of you who helped me out!
