It’s pretty rust free though?

Not everything rusts away submerged in water.

Does Hammerite exist in the SW universe? If so what color would it be, Star Destroyer Slate or Imperial Graphite?

See that smooth area above the trench on DS I? In IX that area is instead covered in patterns much like the ones on DS II. Oddly, the area beneath the trench in IX looks like it has the smooth surface from DS I, but above the IX trench there doesn’t appear to be a smooth section at all even though DS II has a thin one.

Interesting, is Palpatine’s laugh coming from that a false association or did they make a mistake?

I would say that the laugh is just to show that Palpatine is in the movie, but it’s also likely that the Death Star wreckage is connected to Palpatine in the film. But they seem to have made some mistakes with the shot of the Death Star either way since it looks like a mix of both.

And it isn’t like an FX shot we see in the trailer has to end up in the film that way. I’ve seen quite a few that were finished one way for the trailer and another for the film.

A lot of these scenes could be edited or changed altogether, as is usually the case. Or not included at all.

NO SPOILERS

Hey Everyone,

I believe a new batch of leaks regarding Episode IX has dropped, and people have been compiling the known leaks into a pretty extensive plot layout for the film. I haven’t read through it all, but from what I’ve read it still seems a bit confusing and disjointed because a lot of things are still missing, but if the sources are legitimate then you will know a lot about the movie before going into it.

If you have been keeping up with this thread to keep up with Episode IX news and discussion, but you still want to be a little surprised by the movie, I think this is a good stopping point.

So I would recommend staying off this thread and avoiding forums like all of the Star Wars subreddits (in particular r/StarWarsLeaks). During the ‘dry seasons’ Leaks was a good place to keep up with Star Wars news, but now I feel like the POTENTIAL spoilers are getting pretty substantial. I would try to block certain Star Wars YouTube channels as well if that is even possible.

I think this is what I’m going to do from this point forward. This fall is gonna fly by really fast, and it’ll be a flash in between Mandalorian airing the IX releasing.

So, if you’re like me, now might be a good time to commit to avoiding potential spoilers, otherwise you’re gonna start seeing things you wish you hadn’t.

You’re awesome Rogue! Thanks for the heads up!

Gonna unsub from Star Wars channels and subreddits, and mute all related words/phrases on Twitter. I did that for TFA and TLJ too but sadly I was too late. Thanks so much for the warning!

Having gone through some of the rumours, I think I actually kind of like it. I think it fixes a lot of issues some people have had with the ST thusfar, and it definitely doesn’t look like it’s going to rehash the OT. I also like very much where things seem to be headed with Leia.

I’m not sure why anyone would be in a spoiler discussion if they don’t want spoilers. We all know how close the previous films spoilers were so if we are up on the all the rumors we are going to be pretty prepared for where the film is going, even if it has some surprise turns.

There’s been a lot of confusion regarding those leaks and more investigating being done, so reddit is a place to avoid for sure because from now until December people are going to be trying to find any way possible to make sense of it by searching for any leak they can find.

I ignore reddit. I periodically search for things. The more I find the better.

Does anyone still actually care for Star Wars after Last Jedi?

Edit: I meant care for the sequel trilogy. My bad.

Clearly some of us do, or this site has little reason to exist anymore.

I must ask, why do some claim “The Last Jedi is one the worst films ever”? I’m not attacking this opinion by any measure… but I don’t understand it at all. As someone more negative than positive towards TLJ, I must admit it creates a fun, cohesive narrative with masterful visuals. Are you that angry about Luke? Because you might argue the same has happened to Obi-Wan and Yoda, two legends who were reduced to a life of shit. I think some moments are flat-out “bad” (Luke trying to kill Ben, etc) but are those moments really worse than Jar Jar stepping in poop?

Truth be told, after two years of listening to complaints, on a fundamental level I still just do not understand the hate.
