Man I'd never complain about Lucasfilm not giving us any more bonus features if this is ever released

Great lists guys. Lots of them were new to me.

I did have some footage of Mark Hamill presenting a European Lottery programme dressed in his flight suit, from about 1980. Unfortunately the VHS degraded and eventually became unwatchable.

The guy who copied it for me (in the UK) back in the early 90's used to print a small A2 sized fanzine about Sci Fi. He was also a big proponent of copying Laserdisc special editions (Terminator 2 and Aliens etc) to VHS for people.

I wonder if he is still out there?!

I have found another documentary that I don't think has been mentioned before.

It's from the last five years and was aired on NBC. I believe it's called "Time Again" or "Time and Again".

It chronicles the OT by showing clips of the films along with interviews with all the principal actors and performers from 1977 right up to the late 1990s. Most of which I have NEVER seen before.

This was recorded on an NTSC tape by my sister in the US. I had a PAL VCR in the UK and until now I've been unable to watch it. Unfortunately the picture is terrible quality - it was recorded using an RF aerial rather than via cable TV. My sister had in fact not set up her TV before as she had recently moved. But when she turned the TV on and saw an old interview with Mark and Harrison, she knew she had to record her for me - even if it's only bearably watchable.

So, has anybody else out there got this documentary!?

Hello again,

I also have a PAL VHS tape with the following items on it:

Movie Magic - Phil Tippett Interview - ESB and Dragonslayer
The Little Picture Show - 1995 OT Video Release
Ruby Wax - Interview with Carrie Fisher
Movie Watch - Convention coverage 97
Masters of Illusion - Presented by Roy Schieder - SW, Raiders
London Tonight - Report on Leavesden Studios 1998
South East News - Elstree/Leavesden report - Contains rare ESB footage!
Big Breakfast - OT Video Release
GMTV - Mark Hamill Interview - SE Release
This Morning - SE Release
Carrie Fisher Interview with Sarah Green

The are also sourced from the UK, some of the items listed are on recordings of portions of the show.

Is anyone willing to capture this video so that it can be distributed around the OT network?

Thanks
JAmie

is Master of Illusion, hosted by Roy Scheider, has something to do with Seaquest DSV ?
Author

Well it is to do with Sequest to the extent that it is also presented by the young guy from the series.

i THINK I can help with the NBC doc--that sounds like Time and Again, a series that used to be on MSNBC where they'd take old clips from the NBC archives and string them together around topical releases.

I'm guessing that's from the TPM-era because I think I have it on tape too. i'll try to look through my archives tonight and see if I can't get more precise details.

That's what I'd like to know. This is a good resource for tracking all the different specials and whatnot.

Would it be worth starting a wiki page as suggested? Would we be able to have one and host it here? This would save us the problem of someone starting their own list and then losing interest or dissapearing.

Off hand, some things I have I didn't see scanning through the list:
Episode 3 newspaper 2DVD set, has some small docs and trailers on it - have to dig it out
ROTJ SE ending workprint footage
The Phandom Menace - DVD released documentary about SW fans around the time of EP1's release

I really wish we could pull together and release something like this. It would be awesome having all the documentaries in one massive torrent. That would make finding deleted clips for fan-edits much easier. It's not totally beyond the realm of possibility, either. A torrent featuring every episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 clocked in at 120 GB, and it flourished until the mods deemed it worthy of deletion (damn tyrants!). However, we might want to choose a site with extremely lax copyright enforcement, like the Pirate Bay. For obvious reasons, I say we steer clear of documentaries with official releases. Another candidate for inclusion are the webdoc featurettes that didn't make it onto the PT bonus disks.

EDIT: I apologize to the mods. The torrent is back up.

...

All the more reason for us to make this!

I didn't get a response in the 'general' forum so maybe you guys/gals in here will know-

I seem to remember a Star Wars-related documentary where the actor Grant Goodeve (who replaced Mark Hamill in 'eight is enough') jokingly thanked MH for his job on the show. I thought it was in the MH Biography special, but it wasn't, and now I simply cannot rembember where I saw it (or if I imagined it?) I scanned through some of the other A&E Biographies just to make sure (Lucas, Fisher, Ford), but it wasn't on those either.

Does anyone happen to know? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I think the clip I'm thinking of may have been in an "Eight Is Enough" documentary, which explains why I couldn't find it in my SW documentary collection.

I've done a pass through adding things which have come about since the list was updated last. All the new entries are at the bottom. (Many are not Documentary notable, but this list is most likely from now on going to be expanded, there is a column for category type which you can use to sort the data to only show the Documentary cateogry) If you see any errors or want to add content to the list, please let us know.
