That was my second DVD. Also my first experience with home surround sound, which freaked my dog (RIP) right the heck out.
First DVD was Simpsons S1.

Has anyone watched a star wars film in B&W?
“Get over violence, madness and death? What else is there?”
Also known as Mr. Liquid Jungle.

Yup.
Which films?

I have a colorblind friend who’s a big SW fan.

That’s not really how that works though, is it?

Right. Most likely, s/he simply cannot use color to distinguish between Imperial and Rebel laser blasts, or Luke and Vader’s lightsabers in ROTJ.

I had a silent (subtitled) Super 8 B&W reel of Star Wars many years ago.

It was the cheapest version of the film available before home video was king. The idea that you had to pay more for color and sound is almost like something out of Monty Python.
Where were you in '77?

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.
Episode 9 Rewrite, The Starlight Project (Released!) and ANH Technicolor Project (Released!)
yup , and this fan edit has become my go to version of the prequels for watching the saga in Machete order . I like it on it’s own as well .https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X1AcBBpjkDg The Man Behind The Mask does awesome edits too .
I’ve noticed millenniumfalcon.com has been offline for at least two days. No idea what’s happened to it. Last mention of it on twitter was the 13th and nothing about it being down.
Love them or loathe them, they were always a good source for spoiler info. There seemed to be barely a dozen or so regular posters there in recent years. They were at their peak when the prequels came out. I think they were the first to post Episode III screenshots from the infamous Backstroke Of The West bootleg that hit the net before the movie hit theaters.

Some people have monochromatic vision, but they’re a needle in a stack of needles.
My brother confuses some beiges and pale blues, so I think he’s fine.
Maybe Luke’s original saber looks beige to him?
Well there’s a reason they test kids for that kind of thing early on http://www.colorvisiontesting.com/what-colorblind-people-see.htm
How do Jedis teach each other how to do mind tricks? I mean wouldn’t you need a subject to know if you’re doing it right? Some one weak minded and probably not force sensitive?
“Hey, just go out onto the street and grab someone. Not too smart but not a compete dummy either”.
Or did they just learn it by the book and just hope for the best the first time using it on the field?
That raises all sorts of ethical questions I had not pondered before. Sure they might have volunteer test subjects, but who wants to admit to being weak minded?
If AOTC is any indication, there are a lot of seedy bars with Deathstick dealers on Coruscant they could practice in. 😉

Shady Figure: Hey you wanna buy some deathsticks?
Young Padawan (mind trick): You will give me the deathsticks for free.

Is that a reference to this bit from Darths and Droids?

You know how Hayden Christensen looks nothing like Jake Lloyd? Well you know does (aside from Leo DiCaprio, who turned down the part)? John Simm. I wonder if he can do an american accent.
the clone war had thee lowest stakes for a fictional war
clones…versus droids
both expensive to produce, sure
but besides the jedi, there were few actual casualties

Clones don’t count as casualties?
And I’m sure there were civilian deaths as well in a war of that scale.
