Nothing sums up a title like “Solo” better than 7 characters all marching together… but seriously it looks fine. I don’t love it, I don’t hate it.

Did you look at the faces though?

I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

There isn’t anything wrong with the Solo art. The chin looks a bit crooked, which is exemplified by the high contrast lighting painted on the side of his face, but other than that the facial renditions are practically flawless. I don’t see the problem with Woody’s face.

SONIC RACES THROUGH THE GREEN FIELDS.
THE SUN RACES THROUGH A BLUE SKY FILLED WITH WHITE CLOUDS.
THE WAYS OF HIS HEART ARE MUCH LIKE THE SUN. SONIC RUNS AND RESTS; THE SUN RISES AND SETS.
DON’T GIVE UP ON THE SUN. DON’T MAKE THE SUN LAUGH AT YOU.

Just figured this out: every Denzel Washington movie poster.

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.

Breathtaking.

I’m Mr. Know-It-All.
Here’s a clue… Grab the spinning rings. It’s important. As long as you’ve got the rings, you’ll be okay, even if
you hit any hazards. Now you know.

Oh, and don’t worry if the
view suddenly changes. It does that sometimes. Just keep moving in the direction you want. It may take a little time to get used to it, so keep trying.

The steelbook has an interesting idea but the execution is terrible.

^ What could look more exciting than a plane parked on the tarmac with a speed blur added? (Just checked and that image is from the theatrical poster LOL)

VIZ TOP TIPS! - PARENTS. Impress your children by showing them a floppy disk and telling them it’s a 3D model of a save icon.

Almost as bad as the movie. Almost.

This film has never had good art.

What about this?

Or what about this?

He was good in Forbidden Planet, Creepshow, and Airplane, but most of the other stuff I’ve seen him in’s been unfunny, stupid, and/or forgettable. YMMV.

Watched the first one back in 2001. I remember next to nothing about it other than Nielsen riding a camel and O. J. Simpson being in it.

I suddenly feel the urge to make it a good poster. I always loved the movie, but they gave it a dumb cover.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas
