This post, my 8348th, will be my last post on originaltrilogy.com. This is a post I’ve been delaying writing for a few weeks now, for a reason I don’t really know.
Let’s face it: everybody will leave this forum at some point. Yes, that means even old Frink. It may be blunt, but it is true, for death is just as much a part of life as birth. Every Internet community will wither away at one point. It’s time for me to let go of this online life and pass on into the next.
Let me be clear: my departure has nothing to do with what anybody here has done recently, nor does it have to do with any recent argument or conversation. I’ve been winding down my use of the forum for the past couple of months now. Several days have gone by with me not posting. This is just the conclusion to that trend. I just have nothing to get out of the forum now; I have no interest in it anymore. For almost the entirety of this year, I’ve only checked the Off Topic section, as I don’t really stay very interested in Star Wars for more than a few weeks at a time. My account was created during one of those peaks.
Even though the phrase is cliché, I’m going to use it: it’s really not you, it’s me. And so, I log out and close the browser tab, crossing my heart, hoping to die, sticking a needle in my eye.
