What kind of reaction was she supposed to have?
What kind of reaction was she supposed to have?
Yeah it’s not like she would just stop all the extreme life or death circumstances around them to act jealous right then could she? Wouldn’t be the time. And she wasn’t there when they kissed was she? Honest question, don’t remember.
And this is all assuming Finn and Rey were to be a thing anyway. Seems to me she’s more interested in Kylo anyway.
Hyperbole.
You’ll fit right in here.
Didn’t you all know that a single forehead kiss is the same as a wedding ceremony in the Galaxy Far, Far Away?

It’s all about the spousal benefits.
I must have seen The Empire Strikes Back several hundred times by now, and I only just noticed that the “your tauntaun will freeze before you reach the first marker” guy has a weird flesh-colored mustache. It’s not Ratzenberger, is it?
Yes, it’s him. Frink ought to sneak in the Cheers theme when he gets to that scene in TRSB. 😛
Apparently, NOT everyone knows his name. 😉
American actors could make a steady living in British films and tv when American characters were needed.
I may be mistaken, but I think the British acting-union rules are pretty strict. They’d rather employ British actors and have them do American accents that always sound like they’re in 1930s gangster films. 😛
Anyone see a track listing for the OT?
“complete with new artwork”
yeah, nice. what was wrong with the original art?
God, those are horribly boring covers. Yet another release of “Jedi Rocks” I presume. Oh, yay.
EDIT: APPARENTLY NOT!!! This version is the ORIGINAL 1983 version with LAPTI NEK and EWOK CELEBRATION! 😄
Last time Sony put these out, the vinyls had the original listing and the CDs the SE. When Sony’s rights expired, Disney put them out on digital with the original tracks. So I’d say it’s a crapshoot.
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

Maybe now, but in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s? American actors like William Sylvester appeared in everything from Gorgo to Devil Doll to 2001 A Space Odyssey, all British made films.
Gerry Anderson cast a lot of American blokes in everything from Thunderbrids to Space: 1999.
And you never noticed this guy keeps popping up in Bond movies? 😉
Mind you, I did see a Tomorrow People story from the '70’s with a whole lot of British actors doing terrible American accents. (Including a thinly veiled caricature of then President Jimmy Carter that makes Saturday Night Live’s depiction seem kind.) That every other American character was a walking stereotype was icing on the cake. 😉
Where were you in '77?

Yeah, that guy looks familiar. 😉
Had a dream last night Mark Hamill was hosting some sort of educational kids show. He would make his entrance (and exit) swinging on a rope.

Lol! Was he dressed goofy?
Quite normal I think. He still had the beard from the movie though.

What do we know about the little frog guy who eats the other creature outside Jabba’s palace right after Leia and Chewie show up? Is he a muppet? Stop motion? Traditional animation? Before I got into these preservations, when I hadn’t seen the OOT in like 15 years, I assumed he was an SE addition because the quality of his movement is so different from all the other puppets, but now having seen the GOUT and the ROTJ grindhouse and knowing that he’s from '83, I have no idea how they actually did it.

Ditto. Also that it was not much classier than PT fart jokes, and it disrupts an otherwise fine establishing shot.

It’s a puppet.

Maybe they shot him with a high speed camera to make the tongue effect work better? That may be why the movement seems different.
I think we’ve all gotten a little paranoid about SE changes. I even thought this pig guard was an SE addition when I hadn’t watched ROTJ in a while. 😉

^He looks like he could use a nap.
That last one is due to being used to pan and scan copies of the original. The first time I saw the OT in widescreen was the SE, and I didn’t see the OOT in widescreen until, like, 2004ish when I got the Dr. Gonzo set.

lol
This is pretty interesting. I was aware of the fact that Luke was Starkiller in the shooting script, but I had no idea they actually shot scenes with it.

According to Wookeepedia he was actually Luke Skywalker’s informant, and his name was Lard-zen Makuisi-kahn. He distracted the palace guards while Lando snuck in, and he even helped him steal a uniform.

I don’t believe you. Link the Wookiepedia page and I still won’t. So there.
You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

I know Battlestar Galactica had a last minute name change for Richard Hatch’s character as well. From Skyler to Apollo. Maybe Fox’s legal minions made rude noises over Skyler appearing to be too simlar to Skywalker?

I was surprised to see TFA airing on TNT this evening. I would think they would have promoted the heck out of it. I’m old enough to recall when it took a feature film three years to reach network tv.

Being a wookie id imagine you’re old enough to remember Betty White being born.
Hey! I’m not that old! And what’s a wookie?
