i can't wait to see how MagnoliaFan deals with the midichlorians mention! i personally think that's a kind of cool story, except of course for the midichlorians bit. perhaps the whole bit will have to be lifted wholesale from the film?

I was actually more pointing it out because of all the info there, and if i remember correctly MagFan posted some info on his plans for his edit, and i figured you guys would like to see that. Wasnt really about the repeat subject, cause its not like you did it purposly should have seen all the 'duplicate' threads the week after RoTS came out

1. recut so Palpatine's mouth isn't showing (either a behind the back shot looking at the opera or an Anakin reaction shot) and change the line to "he could actually manipulate the force to create life."
2. cut the "creating life" line altogether to just "he could actually keep those he cared about from dying."

i'm gonna catch up this weekend. that's some meaty reading!also glad to hear the midis will lift easy from ROTS. i finished watching balance of the force (brilliant, magfan, brilliant!) the other night and i do not miss them one damn bit.

you know, this is what I've been trying to do in ANH to get the line 'If my blade should find it's mark, you shall cease to exist, but no matter', using an extended shot of Vader. Unfortunately, I can't get the audio cleaned up enough.

That Vader scream at the end of ROTS that everybody hates: the first thing I thought after hearing it was that the scream of rage sounded far more convincing in the "Vader vs. the Energizer Bunny" commercial where Vader's lightsaber fails and he opens it up to find cheapo batteries!
So, if you want to edit that scene, use the scream out of that commercial. I believe it's even James Earl Jones' voice.

You're right, the energizer scream does sound 10 times better.
The only tricky part would be isolating the scream from the music underneath it.
It's the same problem with cutting in the dialogue exchange from the Episode II trailers:
"I've heard this lesson before" "You haven't learned anything!"
The music underneath it throws everything off.
Oh, and if anyone wants a little cut footage, check out the Xbox game:
"Don't assume just because there are two of you, that you have the advantage."

Just try taking the scream and lowering the octave, I mean the one in the film. Open it up in Goldwave and lower the pitch, but preserve the tempo. See if that makes it better. Just seemed too high pitch to me.
