Like that a lot - a different perspective to the usual views of Tarkin, and still captured his thoughtful menace - nice one 😃

Great stuff! Have you ever thought of uploading a speedpaint video of some of your Star Wars work to Youtube? I always enjoy watching people draw. 😃

Thank you, guys!

Not sure if this makes sense, but because of his jaw & chin, Tarkin’s face always seems like it’s pointing to a vanishing point underneath him. At least when it’s broken down like a caricature. So it kind of set me up for a top down composition.

Recording a speed painting video is a great idea, actually. Something to consider. Maybe for the next project, where I’ll begin a new and do everything from scratch (cause, like I mentioned before, these SW drawings have all been sketched out already; inking is all that’s left). Watching me try and get the likenesses down would probably be hilarious… all the erasing and stuff… I do have a Youtube channel, though. Not much on it, but I plan on posting some more stuff soon: https://www.youtube.com/user/NoGuidancePictures/videos

Moving on to letter H:

How about some of the less well-known, background characters - like the giant grasshopper/praying mantis in the cantina?

I did consider going completely obscure, but it became a little too burdensome cause of a lack of reference. Just did IG-88, for example - relatively known character - used google images and severely inaccurate toys as reference and ended up fudging most of it. Not a very accurate drawing, but here it is:

I - IG-88

Good news, though, is that Star Wars characters are fun to draw and since the brand is becoming so popular - even lesser known characters getting more and more fleshed out - I’m sure I’ll tackle guys like Wioslea at some point in the future.

By the way, the Bossk and IG-88 images are interconnected and in reference to this:

Lethal Weapon

It’s supposed to be Boba Fett in the background. Slight jab at him, I guess, wanted other bounty hunters to get some spotlight for a change.

Nice job! IG-88 has always been a favourite of mine.

Love the reveal of the bounty hunters in the film, the awkward moment an Imperial officer is face-to-toes with a pair of (smelly) reptilian feet.

Pinhead-9D9 was great, but Jabba’s my favorite so far.
Good stuff!

That’s awesome to hear, thank you!

I dream to read one day a comic book (Legends or Canon) that you will have drawn!

Very inspiring to hear this. Thank you. If I ever get that gig, I’ll draw you as a character in the background.

As for the alphabet - a little late, but still on time for my time zone, here’s letter M (also added L for Lando, forgot to add it here as well; it was on Twitter/Instagram yesterday):

L - LANDO

M - MAX REBO

I didn’t think it was possible, but someone actually managed to make Max Rebo look cool.

L - LANDO

Loving all the amazing drawings so far and the Mad Max Rebo is awesome!

I did find the Lando one a little odd though in that I didn’t realise until a 3rd or 4th looking that it is his cape billowing behind / beside him, initially I thought it was a really odd depiction of his shadow on some weird background surface. Maybe if you had the wisps of fog at his feet getting blown in the same direction it would better communicate the direction of the wind and therefore the deduction that it’s his cape getting blown in that direction.

I think the original Max Rebo concept, where his hands were actually feet, was super cool:

It’s not a concept, that’s how it really is:

And in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as the Son of the Suns.
