General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread — Page 347

Possibly.

LucasArts actually included the phrase “white slavers” in Monkey Island 2, back in 1991. When the remake came out in 2010 that phrase was censored - along with every mention of a corporate product made by anyone other than Lucasfilm.

It’s a brave new world of corporate feudalism. Star Wars is just another paving stone on the road to that hell.

I keep praying for indie filmmaking to undergo a quantum leap which will render Hollywood all but irrelevant.

Perhaps you could speak to someone about that, in your non-Internet capacity.

Eh, Mr. Rinzler?

Last time I was at Kennedy Space Center, the gift shop had just about every mission patch under the sun. I would imagine ISS patches would be no exception.
There’s a Rocket Raccoon/Groot one I wouldn’t mind picking up for a friend.

So, why couldn’t they pack Anakin’s arm in some ice and reattach it in AOTC? It’s lying right there on the floor, not like they have to go looking for it. Okay, it might be a little bit shorter after, but seriously!

I have also asked this.

Maybe all the Midichlorians in it died, so he wouldn’t be able to levitate pears with it anyway.

You probably don’t recognize me because of the red arm.

I just picked up the Bandai 1/48 scale Snowspeeder model, and this time I think I’m going to attempt a paint job. I’ll post some photos once I start building. What’s really neat about the kit is that it also includes a tiny 1/144 Snowspeeder, which is the scale of the Millennium Falcon I built a couple months ago. Looking forward to displaying those next to each other.

I might be wrong but I feel like there might be a more specific thread for that kind of thing lying around here somewhere.

I was triggered by seeing “Super 8” and “Star Wars” in the same sentence. Sorry.*

*Not actually sorry at all. (For Ric, RIP 2009-2013)

I was randomly thinking about how back in the day, Lucasarts would produce a lot of videogames that were essentially spinoffs or reworkings of the movies - but there were always a lot of direct tie-ins from Super Star Wars to The Clone Wars movie game. The former is now defunct of course and they took 1313 with them, but where are all the other random titles outside Lego and Battlefront? Factor 5 is also dead too I guess. But I’d probably play a random action title just called The Force Awakens.
