Looks like a scene from Guardians of the Galaxy.
I thought that too.

Yeah, except the colors would be way more vibrant.

I’m sure the fans who forget Chewie’s family is canon independently of the Holiday Special will piss and moan over this. 😉
Where were you in '77?
Just wait until they find out Chewie will be female in the Star Wars reboot.

They could also play up the hermaphrodite angle with Jabba. 😉

Ok, apparently you have some EU knowledge I don’t want to know about.
Hutts are supposed to be hermaphrodites, but post Disney that might no longer be the case.

Like I said, EU.
YES! Re-canonizing Chewie’s family is something I’ve been wanting so badly.

Did you know George Lucas’ original intention was for Han to have a Wookiee wife?
Screenwriter Lenny Ripps said:
What was interesting to me was that Lucas started talking about Star Wars as if it was a real world. He said things like “Well, you know Han Solo is married to a Wookiee. but we can’t say that.”
Ross Plesset of StarWars.com said:
As outrageous as Ripps’s recollection sounds, there is evidence supporting it. Pat Proft corroborates it and an early draft of the Star Wars script (January 28, 1975) has Han Solo living with a furry female creature who he kisses. Proft also remembers learning that Han was raised by Wookiees, which is verified on pages 46 & 131 of Laurent Bouzereau’s Star Wars: The Annotated Screenplays.
I guess that inspired the female Wookiee that is like a mother to young Han in one of the later EU novels?

If you were a female wookiee you might not be so quick to joke about the underrepresentation of female wookiees in the Star Wars universe.

Gross.
And what’s wrong with a Wookiee spouse? 😉
Where were you in '77?
Nothing…for another Wookiee.
White wookiees are seriously underrepresented in the Star Wars films, by the way.
Lumpy has already turned up in one of the nuEU novels. At this rate, I bet Itchy will be a playable character in Battlefront II.
The Holiday Special is confirmed to be canon.

Sorry, couldn’t make it past the first two minutes of that. Did they show a picture of Clint Howard, (Ron’s brother) by mistake, or was that another “joke”?
Where were you in '77?
I’m sure that was intentional. For what intent, who knows.
I enjoyed most of the video, but their cynical humor isn’t for everyone.

Thirty minutes of that is asking a lot. 😉

Even thirty seconds is too much.
Thanks for watching 30 seconds of it so I didn’t have to.
