Bernard was also great in The Mummy. The spot in the film he had could not have been done by anyone else.

I think he was the first guy casting directors thought of when they needed the perfect British fellow.
First time I ever watched The Mummy, I was like “Hey! It’s Doctor Bombay!” 😃

RIP Bernard Fox. I have thoroughly enjoyed his amazing performances, which were usually restricted to “the English fellow.” 😃
I only really know him from Hogan’s Heroes, The Andy Griffith Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show and M*A*S*H so I was actually surprised to see that Bewitched seems to be his most well known role. (I haven’t watched the entirety of Bewitched, and in all the episodes I have seen he hasn’t been in a lot of them.)
