for the "Leia's mother / Padme"-Paradox: it all stands and falls with Luke's question "do you remember your mother?"

if one would cut that out, it just states as to why her foster-mother was sad => because she knew what happened to her mother ...

That's not a bad fix, but as always, I think it's better to change the PT to match the OT. No point in fixing something that ain't broke so it can try to fix something never worked.

I think I only watch ANH:R sometimes because I already have it, since some of the changes sort of bother me (like making the Death Star explosion feel less epic than the Alderaan explosion.)

The Alderaan explosion always been more epic than the Death Stars, hasn't it? Is there a version of Star Wars where that isn't the case?

In '77, Alderaans huge fireball with chunks flying out dwarfed the Death Stars little 'Pop!' and glitter show. In all versions of the SE, the same ring has been added to both explosions, so Alderaan still has the better bang. I just watched both go boom in Revisited and I'd say the new Death Star explosion at least equals Alderaans.

I don't mean to go off topic, just found this interesting.

Adywan's Alderaan explosion is the explosion of the Asgard homeworld on Stargate SG-1. This explosion is MUCH more massive than that of either the classic or SE Alderaan explosions, and the sound effect is different and somehow smaller, such that his Alderaan explosion dramatically dwarfs his Death Star blowing up.

Sure, Alderaan is a planet and so should cause a bigger boom, but we're supposed to get this feeling of elation or exhileration from the Rebels blowing up the most powerful weapon in the universe at the last possible moment. Unfortunately, the feeling I get while watching Adywan's edit is "meh, the first explosion was better."

I completely agree with you, I'm just saying I get the "meh, first explosion was better.'  feeling you mentioned no matter what version I'm watchin'.

If at all possible, with the release of the BD version, I want to release the full BD version and then for the people who already have the mkv, I will release a shell version, with all the files that will be added or changed on the BD, so that people can mux in the tracks they already have from the mkv and create an identical BD on their own from the mkv, so that way, if you have the mkv and you're saavy enough, you'll only have to DL like 26 GB, instead of 46.

That's great!

There is no real complications on that score.

Luke worried about not being able to go on alone without his dead master isn't that different from not being able to go on without his dying master.

I would have the Ben part of the story happen on Tatooine myself but nothing he says indicates Yoda is dead, it just acknowledges that Luke is grieving and that process can start before death if you know someone you care about is already on their way out.

It just seems that the Obi-Wan/Luke conversation would be done with Yoda if he doesn't die while making a big revelation. Honestly though, I hardly remember the scene.. I haven't watched Jedi in many years.

Another ROTJ taste variation.

What if we don't see Yoda die?

Luke has his conversation with Yoda who isn't very well.

He tells Luke Vader is his father and Luke says sorry for running off.

Luke leaves Yoda alive but unwell.

At the end of the film we see him as a Force ghost so we find out he died later.

It might make his death seem less abrupt and midcoversational.

Love this idea. But what about the following conversation with Obi-Wan? It already needs to be re-worked, but even more so if Yoda is still alive and doesn't die mid-revelation.

I don't see anything wrong with the TFN comments.  For someone into the "saga", I would have to agree that ROTJ pretty well wrapped it up.  I'm just not into the "saga", and I think that SW is more enjoyable and more timeless as a standalone movie about Luke.  The other movies being fun afterthoughts.  If I were into the "saga" of it all, I'd probably feel as they do.

I completely agree. I don't see anything in the comments that were posted that make the TFNers seem crazy. They just like a few bad movies.

Frink! Damnit man, you broke the chain!

Well, now that all of that is done with, does anyone know an approximate value of these or has anyone seen them being sold anywhere?

The stuff for TPM was produced on such a mass scale that much of it has no value except for what a collector is willing to pay.

So was ray, unfortunately.

I meant every word of what I said*.

Anyways, I believe what you have there, Bluefrog, are displays from Wal-Mart. I remember seeing them back in '99 and thinking Jar-Jar looked terrifying.

*-Ok, so Frink wasn't "just asking a question", it was just a stupid joke. If anybody is offended by it, then they have some issues to deal with :p

No, I am not and I do not appreciate this comment. Thank you, God bless and have a good day.

I don't think Frink was trying to be rude, it was just a question. There are other gay users on this site, so you aren't alone. Folks don't discriminate around here. If someone gives you flak about it, I'm sure other users (myself included) will stand up for you and the moderators will put the kibosh on it.

I had a great visual in my mind of the scene with Artoo and Luke in the camp scene before they meet yoda. Ady could add a bunch of bugs swarming around that red/yellow glowing power generator Luke plugs artoo into for power.

That's a great idea! Wouldn't be hard to do and would really enhance the environment.

So, is there anyone here, with a nicely modulated voice, who would like to volunteer to record the narration for my mini-docs?

I'll volunteer. I can't really brag about having a commanding voice a la James Earl  Jones or anything, but I've been asked to loan my voice to some radio projects/narration and folks seemed happy with it.

Having an issue and I wonder if it's just me...

In the bar scene, as soon and the pig-nose-guy grabs Lukes shoulder, it skips to an x-wing being destroyed in the trench and continues from there. If I manually skip ahead a bit just before Luke is grabbed, it will continue fine. Is anyone else having this problem? Just me? Any idea what's wrong?

I'm using VLC Player by the way.

Watched the first half of it (up to "that's impossible!!" Guess it's still uploading). The music is far too distracting and completely out of place with the score for ESB.

I'm not familiar with the PT music, but I must say, that piece is quite awful!

It does sync up with the picture/dialog, but in a modern "bash-you-over-the-head with this moments EPICNESSSSSSS!!!" kind of way.

...I can't see a single reason why she should be the villain, other than it would give her something interesting to do.

There has to be something interesting happening with Leia or there is no point in making her "the other", Luke' sister, Annikin's daughter, ect. That plot thread was started in ESB, expanded upon in ROTJ, shown in ROTS, but never came to anything. In my mind, it's one of the only reasons for a sequel to ROTJ to exist. It's the only loose end when the credits roll on Jedi.

No. I've been around women who do shit tons of cocaine and this is how they wish they looked. Hell, this is how most sober women wish they looked!  I'm not saying Carrie wasn't riding the white horse, but she never looked coked-out on screen.

...maybe a bit here and there on Jedi....
